FL, <br />I <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, <br />the Council concurred in the recommendation of acceptance made by <br />the City Manager. <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman Jones, affi- <br />davits of the publication and the posting of notice.inviting <br />sealed proposals for the improvement of Nevada Street were ordered <br />filed. Following this, bids were publicly opened and declared <br />with the following results: <br />J. Ferioli & D. Bettini 07,272:41 <br />41. 0. For all Grading -Cutting, the sum of ($0.271) <br />Twenty-seven and one-half cents per cubic yard. <br />ITEM 2. For all Grading -Filling, the sum of Ten 00.10) <br />cents per cubic yard. <br />ITEM 3. For constructing complete cement concrete <br />combined curb and utter as specified, the <br />sum of Eighty-two 50.82) cents per lineal <br />foot of combined curb and ,gutter. <br />ITEM 4. For constructing complete the four (4) inch <br />stabilized slurry base pavement with an <br />asphaltic armor coat wearing surface as s eci- <br />fied, the sum of Eight and eight tenths (0.088) <br />cents per square foot of pavement. <br />ITEM 5• For constructing complete the three (3) rein- <br />forced concrete drop inlet catch basins with cast <br />iron frames and gratings, and the connecting one <br />hundred fifty-four (154) linear feet of twelve <br />(12) inch cement concrete storm water pipe drain <br />including excavation, the sum of Three Hundred <br />and 00/100 ($300.00) dollars for the complete <br />system. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, proposed adoption <br />of Resolution of Award No. 1939-4 by which the contract for this <br />improvement was awarded to J. Ferioli and D. Bettini. Carried. <br />Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, proposed adoption <br />of resolution protesting the deduction from the money allocated for <br />the rights -of -tray of El Camino Real.
