The City Tax Collector submitted the following letter: "On June 16, 1939, Mayor Christensen and City Manager Dimmitt recommended that the sum of $126.45 be accepted in settlement of the charges on the following property instead of $143.87 actually due if the total amount was paid in full. The owner, Margaret Watson has paid for street im- provement on this property in the sum of $142.91 principal and $45.00 interest naking a total of 187.91. The property referred to is Arb. Block 326, Lot 9 or legal N.E. 1/2 of Lot 9, Block 11, Range D, Mezesville. (25 feet frontage) Current Tax 2.37 Current Weed Tax .81 Delinquent Tax 14.79 Delinquent Need Tax 2.18 Bond Assessment L (Delinquent) 96.60 Tax Penalty -Cost 9.54 Bond Penalty 17. 2 Current tax penalty .16 $143.87 Payment has been made in the amount of $126.45. Please confirm the above authorization." Authorization requested was given on motion of Councilman Jones, seconded by Councilman Anderson. It was decided, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that the old library building, now empty, be used by the Parks and Recreation Commission, subject, of course, to the approval of the Library Board. The City Manager submitted the following letter: June 30, 1939 Re: P.W.A. Docket Calif. 1992-F Public Library Redwood City, California "In company with Mr. James H. Mitchell, the architect, I did on the 22nd day of June, 1939, inspect the work done by the G. W. Williams Company in the execution of the contract for construction of the Public Library, P.W.A. Project No. Calif. 1992-F. We found the same completed in accordance with the plans and specifications and recommend the acceptance." On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the Council concurred in the recommendation of acceptance made by the City Manager. The City Manager submitted the following letter: June 22, 1939 Re: P.W.A. Docket Calif. 1992-F Library Redwood City, California "Rucker -Fuller Company have delivered all furniture and equipment for the Library, P.W.A. Contract No. 3 -Equipment, in accordance with their agreement under date of January 24, 1939- I recommend your acceptance of the furniture."
