�-A <br />in the recommendation, the Council, on motion of Councilman <br />McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Jones, authorized the expenditure. <br />The City Tax Collector submitted the following letter: <br />"On June 16, 1939, Mayor Christensen and City Manager <br />Dimmitt recommended that the sum of $126.45 be <br />accepted in settlement of the charges on the following <br />property instead of $143.87 actually due if the total <br />amount was paid in full. <br />The owner, Margaret Watson has paid for street im- <br />provement on this property in the sum of $142.91 <br />principal and $45.00 interest naking a total of <br />187.91. The property referred to is Arb. Block 326, <br />Lot 9 or legal N.E. 1/2 of Lot 9, Block 11, Range D, <br />Mezesville. (25 feet frontage) <br />Current Tax <br />2.37 <br />Current Weed Tax <br />.81 <br />Delinquent Tax <br />14.79 <br />Delinquent Need Tax <br />2.18 <br />Bond Assessment L (Delinquent) <br />96.60 <br />Tax Penalty -Cost <br />9.54 <br />Bond Penalty <br />17. 2 <br />Current tax penalty <br />.16 <br />$143.87 <br />Payment has been made in the amount of $126.45. Please <br />confirm the above authorization." <br />Authorization requested was given on motion of Councilman Jones, <br />seconded by Councilman Anderson. <br />It was decided, on motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman <br />Anderson, that the old library building, now empty, be used by the <br />Parks and Recreation Commission, subject, of course, to the approval <br />of the Library Board. <br />The City Manager submitted the following letter: <br />June 30, 1939 <br />Re: P.W.A. Docket Calif. 1992-F <br />Public Library <br />Redwood City, California <br />"In company with Mr. James H. Mitchell, the architect, I <br />did on the 22nd day of June, 1939, inspect the work done <br />by the G. W. Williams Company in the execution of the <br />contract for construction of the Public Library, P.W.A. <br />Project No. Calif. 1992-F. <br />We found the same completed in accordance with the plans <br />and specifications and recommend the acceptance." <br />On motion of Councilman McCarthy, seconded by Councilman Anderson, <br />the Council concurred in the recommendation of acceptance made by <br />the City Manager. <br />The City Manager submitted the following letter: <br />June 22, 1939 <br />Re: P.W.A. Docket Calif. 1992-F <br />Library <br />Redwood City, California <br />"Rucker -Fuller Company have delivered all furniture and <br />equipment for the Library, P.W.A. Contract No. 3 -Equipment, <br />in accordance with their agreement under date of January <br />24, 1939- <br />I recommend your acceptance of the furniture." <br />
