Greenbach
at 3 Copley Street. Building Inspector explained Mr. Greenbach had applied
for a permit but he had not issued same as yet. The plans submitted would
connect the small house by means of an archway to the main building. Council-
man Armstrong stated he had been given to understand that Mr. Greenbach had
violated building code, and that he would hesitate to grant a permit in this
case as it would establish a bad precedent. Councilman Anderson's views on
this coincided with. Councilman Armstrong. Building Inspector advised that whit e
Building Code does not specifically cover this situation, he personally is of
the opinion the joining of the small building by means of an archway does not
make it a part of the main structure. Councilman Granger moved, seconded
by Councilman Armstrong that permit be denied. Councilman Anderson stated
his belief that records should show permit denied due to fact that plans
submitted did not show building a part of main structure. Councilman Granger
accepted the amendment as did Councilman Armstrong. Motion carried.
City Manager presented to the Council proposed ordinance calling for a special
election to be held on November 7th, to submit to the electors two propositiorB ,
' one proposing a bond issue to cover certain improvements and the other a
proposition for the approval of 1944 City Plan.
