McZlulty, Ma:yyar W. IV. Hilton and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also, present vie.. -e: City Manager. Robert W. Mead, City Attorney Paul A. McCarthy, Bui;ding Inspector L. M. Dluican, Police Chief C. L. Collins, Fire Chief M:. E. Ryan, Street Superintendent H. L. Winter and Health Inspector Emil Stein. Absent: -Councilmen Carl A. Britsohgi and. E. A. Fletcher. Councilman Armstrong; moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that minutes of the pre- vious meeting be approved as mailed.. Motion passed unanimously. Application for dance permit was received from Yvonne Schlichtmann for dances to be held Wednesdays, November 8th and 15th until 12;00 midnight, fee having been paid. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that permit be granted subject to the usual conditions. Motion passed unanimously. Application . for dance permit was received from Court I.4adrone 11o. 158, F. of A. for benef it dances to be held Saturdaye, November 11th and 18th, until 1:00 A. M. Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong that permit be granted. Motion passed unanimousli. Application for dance permit was received from the Peninsula Lodge of Elks (colored) r* for public dance to be held Thursday, November 9th at Foresters Hall, fee having been paid. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that permit be granted. Motion passed unanimously. Communication was received from.Mrs. Pearle A. Snider and daughters,•Ruth and Charlotta, expressing appreciation for sympathy_„extended them at the time of the death of their husband and father, Police Officer Junes A. Snider. Communication was ordered filed. Communication was received from Colonel F. W. Koester, Co.anaanding Officer of the War Dog Reception and Training Center, San Carlos, expressing appreciation for cooper- atiorn extended to the personnel of the Dog Training Center during the time it was; located in this vicinity. Communication was ordered filed. City Clerk Dodge read communication f rom the Redwood City Planning Commission in which it was recomsiended that axplication be granted to resub divide Lot 21, Block 19, Central Park No. 2. Councilman Armstrong asked if the object of resubdividing the lot was to make two lots facinf, on James Avenue and was infox"aea this was correct , There was some discussion in regard to the footage in the lots and Mayor Hiltan ash, ed if notices had been sent to adJoininj. property owners .rY the Planning Com- mission.
