M. ANY PERSON INTERESTED AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC WILL BE HEARD BY SAID COUNCIL AT SAID TDIE AND PLACE IN RELATION TO THE ADOPTION OF SAID ORDI- NANCE. 83 ORDINANCE NO.... - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED, -OR- DINANCE No. 451. AN ORDI- NANCE DEFINING NUISANCES AND PROHIBITING THEIR MAINTENANCE IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, PASSED AND ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ON THE 17TH DAY OF MAR(7H, 1941.. The Council of the City of Red- wood City does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. Subdivision 4 of Sec- tion eo-tion 1 of "Ordinance No. 451. An Ordinance Defining Nuisances and Prohibiting Their Maintenance in the City of Redwood City," passed and adopted on the 17th day of March, 1941, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1. Subdivision 4. During the present war emergency and for six (6) months after the termina- tion of hostilities no part of any such house, coop or runway shall be less than twenty-five (25) feet cupted by the person] company or corporation owning or renting the property upon which the same is situated and maintaining the chick- ens, geese, ducks, turkeys, pigeons, doves, squab or similar fowl, bare or hares, rabbit or rabbits. No part of any house, barn, shed, cage or other structure used, con- structed, maintained or intended for any cow, horse, goat or monkey shall be less than forty (40) feet from any street, nor less than ten (10) feet from the aide or rear lines of any adjacent lot, nor leas than forty (40) feet from any dwelling house or place of business unless such dwelling house or place of business is occupied by the person, company or corporation owning or renting the property upon which the same is situated and upon which any such animal, Is main- tained. SECTION 2. Any violation of the foregoing ordinance is hereby de- clared to be a nuisance and may be abated as such by the municipal authorities, and in addition any person violating any of the pro- visions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by a fine not exceeding One Hundred Dollars ($100.) or by Imprisonment in the County Jail of the County�of San Mateo, State of California, not exceeding ninety (90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment, and every day upon which a violation of this or- dinance exists or continues shall be deemed a separate offense here- under and shall be punishable as such. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be In force from and after thirty (30) days after its .iassage and adoption. The above and foregoing ordi- nance was duly introduced by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 16th day of November, 1942, and a public hearing thereon will be held on the 7th day of De- cember, 1942, or such other date, if any, to which the matter may be postponed, RALPH S.
