f <br />El <br />F1 <br />�r <br />Department heads and report later. <br />Matter of slot machines brought up by Councilman Britschgi. Placed on Agenda for next meeting. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Jenkins, introduction of a resolution <br />confirming salary of Mrs. F. Donnelly retroactive to July 23, 19429 date of her employment <br />as secretary of Civilian Defense office. <br />Councilman Jenkins discussed matter of reduction of water rates far victory gardens. <br />Councilman Anderson favored working out some sort of a workable program. Councilman <br />Fletcher suggested that information on San Francisco's plan be ascertained. City Manager <br />Mead requested to study matter from all angles. Matter placed on agenda f or next meeting. <br />Councilman Britschgi requested that Health Dept., be asked to have the member of their <br />Department representing the City to attend Council meetings. <br />Claims No. 2228 to 2266, inclusive, totaling $14,536.90 ordered paid on motion of Councilman <br />McNulty, seconded by Councilman Fletcher. <br />Mayor Granger introduced question of the city securing a service flag to be displayed in the <br />Council Chambers containing a large white star to represent all of the City's uniformed <br />men, end a gold star to be added for each uniformed man giving up his life in the service. <br />City Manager Mead to secure information on the matter. Placed on agenda for nest meeting. <br />Mayor Granger offered resolution of adjournment in honor of Lawrence M. Green, mho died in the <br />service of his country, and Clerk was directed to mail copy of resolution to his family <br />on motion of Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman Anderson.
