That the Committee shall not exceed nine°members, and are to be named on <br />the following basis, with the appointments to be made -by the organizations <br />indicated below: <br />Planning Commission 2 <br />Chamber of Commerce 2 <br />Redwood City Commuters' Club 41 <br />Redwood City Woman's Club 1 <br />r Sequoia High School 1 <br />Business and Professional Woman's Club 1 <br />Elementary Schools. 1 <br />02. The following to be appointed as an Advisory Board to the Traffic Study <br />Committee: <br />Sgt. W. H. Thorpe Police Department <br />Paul A. McCarthy City Attorney <br />Richard Clarke Engineer <br />Recommendation approved on motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by <br />Councilman Anderson. <br />Communication regarding delinquent taxes requesting permission to cancel #39.75 as <br />uncollectible received from City Collector N. L. Miramontes. On motion of <br />Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, permission to cancel the <br />delinquent taxes was granted. <br />Communication read from John B. Wogan, Major General, U. S. A., requesting that the <br />Mayor or a representative of the Citybe present at a armored review for <br />Governor Warren on July 4th at Marysville, at which time certain combat vehicles <br />� will be christened with the names.of incorporated cities and counties of the <br />State. On motion of Councilman.Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the <br />Mayor was chosen to represent the City at the function. <br />Communication received from Chamber of Commerce recommending that the -request of the <br />Mission Trails Association for a $100.00 donation be denied. On motion of <br />Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman McNulty, this recommendation was <br />approved. <br />Mr. John Nordstrand appeared before the Council representing the Traffic Study <br />'Committee, presenting a plan whereby traffic confusion and rapid moving of <br />automobile traffic during the rush period between 5:30 and 6:30 P.M. would be <br />handled to better advantage. Mr. Nordstrand submitted copies of this recom- <br />mended plan for traffic control and on motion of Councilman Anderson, <br />seconded by Councilman McNulty, matter was placed on the agenda for the next <br />meeting to give sufficient time for the Councilmen to study the plan. <br />J <br />On motion of Councilman Armstrong, seconded by Councilman Anderson, the City Council <br />of the City of Redwood City unanimously accepted a limited lease from Southern <br />Pacific Company, a corporation,'to the City of Redwood City, a municipal ' <br />corporation, of certain premises at and near the Southern Pacific Passenger <br />Railroad Station in said city, and consisting of a portion of James Avenue, a <br />�J <br />
