1014 <br />T <br />D <br />L0 <br />Mx. Cellan also requested that water service be given house which is <br />now occuried at above address. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by <br />Oouncilman McNulty and unanimously passed, that property be inspected <br />by Health Department, the Building and Fire Departments, and if they <br />agree that permit should be granted, the Water Department should be <br />notified. <br />City Attorney McCarthy reported that application of Dir. Martin to operate bus <br />lines Dgtween Redwood City, Atherton and Menlo Park had been approved <br />by the Railroad Commission. <br />Communication was recieved from Mr. Jacob Weins, 1146 Palm Street, complaining <br />of bees maintained on the property of Mr. Karl Kerstan, 1436 Kentfield <br />Avenue. On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman <br />McNulty, matter was carried on agenda for next meeting, the City <br />Attorney being i.nr-tructed to report on the matter, and the City Clerk <br />instructed to so notify Mr. Weins and Mr,Kerstan. <br />Complaint w s referred by City Attorney McCarthy to the Council, regarding fire <br />and morals hazards in building located in the 900 block on Brewster Ave. <br />On motion of Councilman Anderson, seconded by Councilman McNulty, the <br />Fire Chief, Police Chief and Health Officer, were instructed to abate <br />the nuisance. Motion passed. <br />Mayor Hilton referred Mr. FroGtIs request for assistance, in preparing prelim- <br />inary work on sewage disposal plant to the Oouncil, stating that agreP- <br />' <br />ment was made to have City Engineering Department do the drafting. Now <br />I�� <br />-`- <br />thct Mr. Clarke is in trip hospital, and no one available to do the <br />drafting, Mr. Frost requests that he hire an engineer to do this work <br />in his office. Councilman Granger moved that request be granted with <br />stipulation that there be a time limit of 30 days specified, and if <br />at the end of that period, more work is required, application can again <br />be :Wade to the Council. After some discussion, Councilman Granger <br />withdrew his motion and Councilman Anderson moved, seconded by Council— <br />man Granger that the matter be carried on the agenda until next meeting, <br />and Mr. Frost be asked to attend the meeting. <br />Application was recpivPd for authorization to purchase new belt for street <br />sweeper _,t a cost of $246.04, from City Shop Foreman McQuiston. Council- <br />man Fletcher and unanimously passed that this amount be transferred from <br />unbudgeted reserve to general fund, authorized by resolution. Unanimouslv <br />passed on roll call. <br />AUTHORIZING TRAY°zFER OF PORTION OF UNBUDGETED RESERVE TO STREET <br />CLEANING DEPARTMENT. <br />RESOLVED that the sum of $246.04 be and it is hereby arthorized to be <br />transfexred by the City Treasurer from Unbudgeted Reserve to Street Olean-. <br />ink; Department, Account #4323, to cover the expense of purchase of belt <br />fox street sweeper. <br />The above and forepoing resolution war, passed and adopted by the <br />Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on <br />the 17th day of September, 1945, b- the following vote: <br />Ayes and in favor of the pasenc*e and adoption of the foregoing <br />resolution: <br />I <br />L <br />
