Mr. Randlett replied that the pay eras $12.40 per day, paid <br />by the contractor, and his dty wc.s to inspect cnnstruction and insist th^t <br />work is done according to specifications. <br />Councilmen Granger inquired about fire hazard at 914 Brewster Avenue, Chief Ryan <br />strted he would be glad to tike c,re of this if the City Attorney would instruct <br />him how to go ab-i.it it leanily. City Attor„ey McCa.rtny stated that the <br />best way wos to c,hr,+e it =s a nuisa-ee, and 1greed to notify Chief Ry"s7 -about <br />procedure. <br />Claims: No. 5988 to 6042 in the amount of $15,705.51 were approved and ordered <br />paid on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilmen Fletcher and <br />unanimously carried. <br />Building Ins-aector Duncan reported that he had an -pplica.tion for rermit to operate <br />a furniture upholstering est-blishment on E1 Camino Real. Councilman Armstrong <br />moved that permit be allowed inasmuch as such a business ;;-s not a violation <br />of zoning ordinance. Randlett. Absent: Harold <br />F. Anderson. <br />Motion was made by Councilman Fletcher, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that minutes <br />of previous meeting; be approved as mailed. On the question Councilman Armstrong h!J j fl <br />called attention to omission of emotion carried° indicating; final action on <br />motions at following places in the minutes: End of Line 15, page 3; and end of <br />line 30, same page. <br />is <br />Councilman Fletcher, with consent of second, moved that minutes as corrected be <br />I.
