<br />I' RESOLUTION NO. 264
<br />l OF INTENTION TO CLOSE ALLEYS IN BLOCK 3,
<br />Ii BROADWAY MAP N0, 1'
<br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood Oity, California,, that
<br />the public interest and convenience require,. and that it is the intention
<br />of said City Council to do and perform the following public improvements,
<br />II to -wit:
<br />14 That the unused public alley extending from Maple Street to Beech
<br />Street in Block 3, and that certain unused alley located east of Beech
<br />Street and north of Broadway, all as shown on Map No. 1 of Broadway, filed
<br />in Volume 22 of Maps at Page 18y San Mateo County Records, be closed and
<br />abandoned.
<br />l 2. That in the opinion of said Council no assessment is necessary
<br />for this proceeding.
<br />3. These proceedings have taken pursuant to Division 5 of the Streets
<br />and Highways Code, as amended.
<br />4. That the City Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be conspic-
<br />uously posted along the line of said alleys and not more than 300 feet in
<br />distance apart, but not less than three in all, notice of passage of this
<br />Resolution headed "Notice of Public Works" in letters not less than one
<br />inch in length and in words and figures, a copy of which is hereto attached
<br />`._ and by reference made a part hereof.
<br />!! 5. That said Street Superintendent shall also cause said Notice to
<br />i'. be published in ten successive issues of the Redwood City Qribune, a daily
<br />newspaper published and circulated in said City.
<br />6. Within ten days after the expiration of the time of publication
<br />and posting of said Notice, any person interested may file with the City
<br />Clerk written objections to the closing of said alley, or.any part thereof,
<br />or to the waiving of assessments therefor.
<br />7. That the City Clerk shall endorse on each such objection the date
<br />it is filed with him and at the next meeting, after the expiration of
<br />said ten day period, shall place the objections before this Council, at
<br />which time said Council shall fix a time, which shall be not less than
<br />�1 one week thereafter, for the hearing of said objections.
<br />8. That the City Clerk shall thereupon notify the persons making
<br />such objections, by depositing a notice thereof. in the Post Office of the
<br />City, postage prepaid, addressed to each objector, of the time specified,
<br />or to which the meeting may be adjourned, and the Council shall hear and
<br />pass upon the objections filed and its decision shall be final and con-
<br />clusive.
<br />I hereby certify that the foregoing is a correct copy of a Resolution
<br />adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City, California, at a regular meeting thereof held the 21st day of
<br />January, 19463, by the following vote of the members thereof:

<br />Councilman Anderson offered resolution appointing the firm of Kirkbride and
<br />Wilson to perform all legal services required in the conduct of all pro-
<br />ceedings in the above mentioned subdivision. The motion was seconded by
<br />Councilman McNulty and on roll call was unanimously adopted.
