<br />approved as recommended by the real estate committee. Under the question,
<br />Mayor Hilton asked -if the complete real estate committee had approved of
<br />this sale. City Manager Blom replied they had. Motion passed unanimously.
<br />City Manager Blom reported that he had a request for the sale of Lots 1 and 2,
<br />Block 48, Eastern Addition. This property was for well purposes and the
<br />well has been abandoned. The city has no further use for the property.
<br />The real estate committee recommended that these lot$ be sold to the high-
<br />est bidder upon receipt of sealed bids. Mayor Hilton moved, seconded by
<br />Councilman Armstrong, that the recommendation of the real estate committee
<br />be accepted and that the City Manager be authorized to advertise this pro-
<br />perty. Motion passed unanimously.
<br />The real estate committee also recommended that Lot 7, Block 10, Sweeney's
<br />Addition be advertised for sale. Councilman Armstrong moved, seconded by
<br />Councilman Fletcher, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise the
<br />above property for sale to the highest bidder on receipt of sealed bids.
<br />Motion passed unanimously.
<br />Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the City
<br />Manager be authorized to appoint an appraiser in connection with the sale
<br />of the above mentioned property. Motion passed unanimously.
<br />Letter was received from the County Tax Collector advising that he was offering
<br />for sale subject to the approval of the Council several lots. One parcel
<br />was Lots 23, 24, 25, Block 23, Central Park No. 2 offered for the minimum
<br />of $907.50, delinquent taxes against the property in the amount of $$859.30.
<br />This property is near the proposed recreational site and it was the con-
<br />sensus of the Council that the city should attempt toracquire the property.
<br />Mrs. Miramontes advised that if the city wanted to keep the property, it
<br />would be necessary to pay the taxes on it. The matter was held over to the
<br />next meeting to see on what basis the city might ,acquire this property.

<br />delinquent taxes $62.66.
<br />Third parcel - Lot,12, Howland between Allerton and city corporate line.
