270 Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Fletcher, that the permit <br />be granted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Application was received from St. Peter's Episcopal Church for permission to con- P39� <br />:duct a rummage sale at Barney's Garage on E1 Camino Real on April 12th and <br />13th. Councilman Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Anderson, that the it <br />permit be granted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Communication was received from Teddy Lauman, insurance agent who handles the <br />city's insurance matters. He advised that the city was not covered under <br />` 1 <br />m iscellaneous liability insurance and, therefore, the claim of G. Lorenzon j <br />for $25 damages to trees at 237 Topaz Street could not be allowed. Council- i <br />c <br />man Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the claim of G. <br />Lorenzon in the amount of $25 for damage to five trees at 237 Topaz Street E_ <br />be allowed. Motion passed unanimously. Councilman Armstrong moved, second- <br />ed by Councilman Anderson, that the matter of miscellaneous liability-insur- <br />ance <br />iability insur- <br />ance be referred to the City Manager for further study. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />Communication was received from Nelle L. Miramontes advising that the city had <br />received a check in the amount of $5536.94 from the County covering the city's <br />share of -property -sold at public auction by County Tax Collector Ralph <br />MacArthur and listing the property sold. Mrs. Mirmontes advised that the <br />amount received covered all delinq-dent taxes, delinquent weed abatement and <br />an additional amountto be credited to Real Estate Fund on some parcels, how- <br />ever, on S.E. 1/2 of Lot 4 and N.W. 1/2 of Lot 2, Block 2, Resubdfvision of <br />Lot 23, W.W.M. Subdivision, the amount did not cover all the bond assessments Ti <br />and $230:46 had to be cancelled on Bond Assessment Series M-12. The sale <br />of all the parcels had been approved by the Real Estate Committee. Council- <br />man Fletcher moved, seconded by Councilman Armstrong, that the recommendation <br />of the real estate committee be accepted. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Application was received from the Cuddy -Motor Company to move its used car lot <br />from 570 E1 Camino Real to property at Lathrop Street. Councilman Fletcher <br />moved that the permit be granted. Councilman Armstrong asked that the motion <br />• I <br />be amended to include that the -lot -must meet all requirements of present <br />city ordinances. Councilman Fletcher so amended his motion which was second- <br />ed by Councilman Anderson and passed unanimously. <br />City Clerk Dodge reported that advice had been received from County Controller Beer <br />that $100.15 was the amount necessary for the city to redeem Lots 23, 24, 25, �l <br />Block 432 Central Park No. 2. The lots in question were the ones which the <br />Council expressed the desire to retain inasmuch as they were near the pro- <br />posed recreational area. Councilman Granger moved, seconded by Councilman <br />Fletcher, that the City Manager be ipstructed to take whatever steps were <br />necessary to redeem the above mentioned lots. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Communication was received from the Redwood City Planning Commission with several <br />recommendations which were acted upon separately. The first recommendation <br />was in regard to proposed change in setback lines on portions of James Ave- <br />nue, Glinklebleck and California Streets, and along the driveway from Broad- <br />way to Winklebleck Street. <br />The Planning Commission recommended favorably <br />
