0 <br />1939 to Cordon Chappelle <br />l - 15 horse power motor and pump head <br />1 - 25 horse power motor with pump head <br />Total price - $175.00 <br />In addition to this, the records show numerous sales of used cases, pumps, <br />shafts, etc., to both dealers and as junk. <br />Councilman Anderson moved the matter of the discussion of the hospital survey be <br />carried on the agenda of the next meeting. The motion was seconded by Council- <br />man Armstrong and passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Granger offered the name of Francis Britschgi to serve a full term on the <br />Planning Commision.• The motion was seconded by Councilman McNulty, and passed <br />unanimously. <br />Councilman Anderson moved that Sanford Dole and Dr. N. C. Cummings be reappointed to <br />the Library Board. The motion was seconded by Councilman Granger and passed <br />unanimously. <br />City Attorney McCarthy asked that the abatement proceedings on the Harder property be <br />continued to the next meeting inasmuch as the notices had not been sent in time <br />to allow the owner to be heard at this time. Councilman Britschgi moved,,seconaed <br />by Councilman Armstrong, that the matter be held over to the next meeting. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Councilman McNulty moved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, that the discussion of the <br />civil service system be held over to the next meeting of the Council. Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />City Manager Mead offered the names of Henry Beeger and R. C. R. 11orser for reaopoint- <br />ment to the Port Commission and asked the Council's approval. Councilman <br />Anderson moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, that the City Manager's re- <br />commendation be approved. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Armstrong offered resolution and moved its adoption transferring $262.72 <br />from unbudgeted reserve to the liability insurance account to cover audit on <br />liability insurance in excess of that amount budgeted to for this year. Council- <br />man Britschgi seconded the motion and on roll call the resolution was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Councilman Britschgi offered resolution transferring $226.68 from unbudgeted reserve <br />to the police judge account to pay salary of police judge taking the place of <br />Judge McAuliffe who is ill. Councilman McNulty seconded the motion and the <br />resolution passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Armstrong offered resolution transferring $1535 from unbudgeted reserve <br />to Retirement Account No. 910 to cover increased cost in retirement to city <br />employees. Councilman Britschgi seconded the motion and the resolution passed <br />unanimously on roll call. <br />35 <br />
