Grading and constructing a six inch rock base and one and one- <br />half inch asphaltic concrete top pavement along said streets and all inter- <br />sections except Middlefield Road and Charter Street, and Spruce and Stam- <br />baugh Streets; conbined concrete curbs and gutters, and four inch cement <br />concrete sidewalk five feet wide on each side of each street. <br />2.) Vitrified clay sewers on Stambaugh Street from Willow to Charter <br />Streets, Spruce, Manzanita and Hilton Streets, and on Laurel Street between <br />Stambaugh and Hilton Streets, with appropriate manholes and laterals to <br />property lines, <br />i <br />Discussion was held in regard to the recommendation of the Planning Commission <br />to change Broadway and Main Streets to Fire Zone No. 1. A letter from the <br />Planning Commission was read by the City Clerk. Some discussion was held <br />in regard to the irregular which City Manager Blom asvised was necessary <br />because of the death of Lots. Councilman Swift moved, seconded by Council- <br />man Granger, that the recommendation of the Planning Commission be accepted <br />and an ordinance be drafted incorporating such changes. Motion passed <br />unanimously. <br />In regard to the ordinance prohibiting quonset huts and prefabricated mouses, <br />City Attorney McCarthy advised he had contacted the City of San Jose to see <br />if they had <br />a similar ordinance but that they had none. He also had con- <br />tacted Mr. <br />Carpenter of the League of <br />California Cities but had not yet <br />heard from <br />him. Councilman Britschgi <br />moved, seconded by Councilman Werder, <br />that the matter be carried on the agenda. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Britschgi moved, seconded by Councilman McNulty, filing of affidavit <br />of Jane Mead of posting copy of amendment to rules of personnel administra- <br />tion. Motion passed unanimously. <br />Councilman McNulty offered resolution and moved its adoption amending rules of <br />personnel administration, seconded by Councilman Britschgi.
