132 <br />City Manager Blom presented a revised budget for. the fiscal year 1946-47, a copy of which <br />was presented to each member of the Council. The Clerk read the letter of trans- <br />I <br />mittal. Councilman Armstrong asked if the salary for the new position as recom- <br />mended by the City Manager for a Deputy Assessor was included in the revised budget. <br />City Manager Blom replied that it was and that repairs to Fire Station No. 2 were <br />not included. He suggested that if the Council desired to pay for these repairs <br />from unbudgeted reserve rather than from the Post War Fund that the budget as pre- <br />sented be adopted and resolution transferring the money be presented at a later <br />meeting. Councilman Armstrong offered resolution adopting the revised budget as <br />presented by the City Manager with a total of $429,726.52 for general purposes, <br />$.91,956.55 for special purposes, making a total appropriation of $521,693.37, and <br />moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger. On roll call, resolution <br />was unanimously adopted., <br />RESOLUTION No. 444 <br />ADOPTING REVISED BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1946 - 1947• <br />WHEREAS, E.. W. BLOM, as City Manager, has filed with the City Council of this <br />City, a written proposal for a revised budget for the fiscal year 1946-1947, and <br />said proposal has been examined and considered by this Council; <br />RESOLVED that said revised budget, dated March 3, 1947, as submitted by said <br />City Manager, be and the same is hereby approved, confirmed and adopted as the <br />revised budget for the current fiscal year 194b -1947 - <br />The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City'Council <br />of the City Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held <br />bn the 3rd day of March. 1947, -by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, McNULTY, SWIFT,WERDER and Mayor HILTON. x <br />NOES: Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S. The : <br />description used had been the one propared by the firm of engineers engaged by the <br />petitioner and <br />a later survey in the field had discovered <br />some discrepancies <br />in <br />the <br />description. <br />City Engineer Longson believed the ordinance <br />should be amended <br />so <br />that <br />the description in the ordinance amending Ordinance <br />No. <br />541. <br />Councilman Granger <br />believed the subdivider should pay the publication <br />cost <br />of the <br />amended ordinance, <br />_I <br />which opinion was shared by the rest of the Council. Councilman Granger offered <br />introduction of ordinance amending Ordinance No- 541, with the understanding that <br />the cost of publication be paid for by Oliver Johnson, subdivider of the Atherwood <br />Subdivision, seconded by Councilman McNulty.
