HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />Councilman Britschgi suggested that the underpass committee be dismissed because of <br />completion of their work and that the report be sent to the Commuters' Club <br />committee for their recommendation. Councilman Werder moved, seconded by Council- <br />man Granger, that the Underpass Committee be thanked for the fine work which they <br />had done and that they be dismissed with a vote of thanks. Motion passed unani- <br />mously. <br />Councilman Werder moved, seconded by Councilman Granger, that the Hospital Committee be <br />given a vote of thanks for the very fine work which they had done and that the <br />Committee be dismissed. Motion passed unanimously. <br />City Manager Blom advised that in connection with the carrying out of the installation <br />of parking meters on California and Perry Streets it would be necessary to change <br />the location of some of the existing meters. He asked for authority to proceed <br />with the plan of relocation of the meters. He was authorized to do so, the <br />Information to be submitted at the next meeting. <br />Councilman Granger referred to page 171 of the Ordinance book in regard to drainage. <br />He stated there had been complaints from residents in Rogers Street about drainage <br />from the Southern Pacific. City Manager Blom advised that there had been complaints <br />and that it was a difficult matter to work out but that he was attempting to have <br />it solved in some manner. <br />Councilman Granger again referred to residence requirements of City Employees. City <br />Manager Blom reiterated his statement made at the last meeting that this rule was <br />being followed whenever possible and residents were given preference in employment. <br />Councilman Britschgi questioned the number of employees now living outside the <br />city limits and was advised by the City Manager that there were two library <br />employees plus two or three others who were not at the present time living within <br />the city. <br />Claims No. 980 to 1049 in the amount of x$18,694.55 were approved and•ordered paid <br />on motion of Councilman McNulty, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, Motion <br />passed unanimously. <br />Councilman Granger offered resolution adjourning meeting out of respect to the memory <br />of Meryvn McArthur and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman McNulty. <br />On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted. <br />r_ <br />®r_ <br />+ CI <br />�I <br />
