WHEREAS, said City Engineer has submitted and filed with said plans, speci- 1-43 <br />fications, profiles and detailed drawings a map or the area hereinafter described <br />suitable for use in the preparation of an assessment diagram and suitable for use <br />as a plan sheet showing the location of the work to be done, which map or plat is <br />entitled "Map Showing Assessment District Under Resolution of Intention No. 1947-111; <br />NOW, THEREFORE be it further resolved by said Council of said City of Redwood <br />City that said map of the area hereinafter described, which map shows the assess- <br />ment district benefited by the work and improvements herein described and which map <br />is entitled as above stated, be and the same is hereby adopted and approved and said <br />Council does hereby determine and declare that the work and improvements hereafter <br />described are of more than local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and <br />benefit the lands and district shown on the map or plat hereinabove mentioned, which <br />district, as shown on said map or plat, said Council hereby declares to be the die- <br />trict benefited by said work and improvements; and said Council further determines <br />and declares that the entire cost and expenses of said work and improvements shall <br />be assessed upon said lands and district shown on said map or plat hereinabove <br />mentioned, which district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City. <br />1 The area above referred to and the street to be so improved are as follows: <br />Valota Road from the center of Redwood Avenue to the sewer in Woodside Road. <br />The improvements herein referred to are as follows: <br />The construction of a sanitary sewer with manholes and other appurtenances and <br />the restoration of pavement of Valota Road where such pavement is removed for <br />the purpose of constructing said sewer, all as shown in plans, specifications, <br />profiles and assessment diagram prepared by said City Engineer, to which <br />reference is hereby made. <br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of <br />the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of March, <br />1947, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: ARMSTRONG, GRANGER, McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and Mayor HILTON. <br />j NOES: Councilmen: NONE <br />I <br />ABSENT: Councilmen: NONE <br />f <br />W. DODGE <br />Clerk of the City of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing Resolution <br />this 17th day of March, 1947. <br />HILTON <br />Mayor of the City ofRedwood City <br />Councilman Swift offered Resolution of Intention No. 1947-1 to proceed with the work <br />and to require publishing of the notice adopting this resolution and fixing time as <br />April 7th for the hearing of protests, and moved its adoption, seconded by Council- <br />man Granger. The resolution provides for the issuance of bonds for nine years at <br />Y 5%.
