<br />All work and improvements provided for herein shall be done and made to the
<br />grades as shown on the plans, profiles and detailed drawings, which grades are
<br />hereby adopted as the official grades for said work and improvements, and reference
<br />is hereby made to said plans, profiles and detailed drawings for a description of
<br />the grades at which said work is to be done and said improvements are to be made,
<br />and the same are hereby made a part hereof;
<br />All the work and improvements hereinabove described are to be done and made
<br />at the locations and positions and of the sizes and dimensions and of the materials
<br />as shown and described on said plans, profiles, detailed drawings and specifications
<br />adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 17th day of March, 1947,
<br />and now on file in the office of the Clerk of said City, to which plans, profiles
<br />and detailed drawings and specifications reference is hereby made for a complete
<br />description and location of said work and improvements and for further particulars,
<br />and the same are hereby made a part hereof by reference;
<br />Said Council of said City does hereby determine and declare that the fore-
<br />going work and improvements are of more than local or ordinary public benefit and
<br />will affect and benefit the lands and district hereinafter mentioned, which said
<br />district is hereby declared to be the district benefited by said work and improve-
<br />ments, that therefore the entire cost and expenses of said work and improvements
<br />shall be and they are hereby made chargeable against and shall be assessed upon
<br />said lands and district, which district is wholly within the limits of said City
<br />of Redwood City, said State, and said district is described and shown on a certain
<br />map or plat entitled "Map Showing Assessment District Under Resolution of Intention
<br />No. 1947-111 which map or plat was adopted and approved by said Council of said City
<br />on the 17th day of March, 1947, and is now on file in the office of the Clerk of
<br />said City, and to which map or plat reference is hereby made for an accurate and
<br />complete description and location of said assessment district, and the same is
<br />made a part hereof by reference; provided, however that all streets, avenues and
<br />portions thereof included within said assessment district and shown on said map
<br />or plat thereof included within said assessment district and shown on said map or
<br />plat thereof shall be omitted from any assessment levied for the cost and expenses
<br />of said work, said streets and avenues and portions thereof now being in public
<br />use as public streets and avenues. '
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN and said Council of said City does determine that
<br />serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of five (5p) per cent per annum from
<br />their date shall be issued as provided in Section 5 of Article I of Ordinance No.
<br />333 of said City of Redwood City, commonly known as "Redwood City Improvement
<br />Procedure Ordinance" as amended, to represent each assessment of Twenty -Five
<br />(25.00) Dollars or over for the cost and expenses of said work and improvements.
<br />Said bonds shall extend from their date over a period of nine (9) years from the
<br />second day of January next succeeding the fifteenth day of the next November
<br />following their date. All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in
<br />Section 3 of Article I of said Ordinance No. 333 as amended, which ordinance was
<br />passed and .adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City on the 14th day of
<br />March, 1932, and is now of record and on file in the office of the Clerk of said
<br />City of Redwood City and to which reference is hereby made and the same is made
<br />a part hereof by reference.
<br />NOTICE IS FURTHER HEREBY GIVEN that on Monday, the 7th day of April, 1947,
<br />at the hour of S o'clock p.m. of said day, at the Council Chambers of said Council
<br />of said City in the City Hall thereof on Middlefield Road in said City, has been
<br />and is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when and where any and all persons
<br />having any objections to the proposed work and improvements described herein, or
<br />to the grade at which said work and improvements are to be done and made or to
<br />the district proposed to be assessed for said work and improvements, may appear
<br />before said Council of said City and show cause why said proposed work and improve-
<br />ments should not be.carried out and done in accordance with said Resolution of
<br />Intention No. 1946-1, or why said work and improvements should not be carried out
<br />and done at the grades as shown on the plans, profiles and detailed drawings
<br />referred to herein;
<br />The Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper published, printed
<br />and circulated in said City of Redwood City is hereby designated by the Council
<br />of said City as the newspaper in which to publish this Resolution of Intention, as
<br />required by law, and the Clerk of said City of Redwood City is hereby ordered and
<br />directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in said newspaper
<br />twice, as required by law;
<br />The Street Superintendent of said City of Redwood City shall cause notices
<br />of the passage of this Resolution of. Intention to be posted in time, form, manner
<br />and number as required by law.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular
<br />meeting thereof held on the 17th day of March, 1947, by the following vote:
