<br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Redwood City, at a regular meeting
<br />thereof held on the 7th day of April, 1947, did adopt Resolution No. 458 entitled
<br />"GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TO THE
<br />CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE KNOWN AS INDUSTRIAL TRACT";;
<br />WHEREAS, a petition has been filed requesting that additional property which is
<br />contiguous to the property described in Resolution 458 be annexed to, incorporated,
<br />included in and made a part of said City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Redwood City to
<br />annex in one proceeding the property described in said petition together with the
<br />property described in Resolution No. 458;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Redwood City does
<br />hereby rescind Resolution No. 458 of said Council.
<br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council
<br />of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st day of
<br />April, 1947, by the following vote:
<br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution:
<br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, McNULTY, SWIFT, WEEDER and Mayor HILTON.

<br />COUNCILMAN WEEDER OFFERED RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ANNEX PROPERTY known as Redwood
<br />Industrial Tract and moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. On
<br />roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Councilman Armstrong absent.
<br />R E S 0 L U T I O N No. 467
<br />GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TO
<br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO BE KNOWN AS INDUSTRIAL TRACT.
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of that certain Act of the Legislature
<br />of the State of California, entitled "An act to provide for the alteration of
<br />the boundaries of incorporated towns and cities by the annexation of uninhabilted i
<br />territory thereto and for the incorporation of such annexed territory in and as a
<br />part of such municipality, and for the districting, government and municipal control j
<br />of such annexed territory" approved May 29, 1939 kStats. of 1939, Chapter 297,
<br />page 1567), there was, on the 21st day of April, 1947, filed with the Council of
<br />the City of Redwood City, a petition, in writing, requesting that the uninhabited
<br />territory hereinafter described be annexed to, incorporated and included in and
<br />made a part of said City of Redwood City; and
<br />WHEREAS the exterior boundaries of said territory are described in said I
<br />petition, and.said territory is contiguous to the limits and boundary of said City
<br />of Redwood City, and is particularly described in Exhibit "A" hereto attached and
<br />made a part hereof; and
<br />WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City does hereby determine and
<br />declare that said petition is signed by the owners of not less than one-fourth
<br />(1/4) of the area of the land described in said petition, and the 6wners of said
<br />land represent not less than one-fourth (1/4) of the assessed value of such terri-
<br />tory as described in said petition, according to the last preceding equalized
<br />assessment roll of the County of San Mateo, said County being the County in which
<br />said territory hereinbefore described is situated;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Redwood City does by this Resolu-
<br />tion give notice of such proposed annexation and does further fix Monday, the 19th
<br />day of May, 1947, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m., at the Council Chambers in the
<br />City Hall in said City of Redwood City as the day, hour and place when and where
<br />any person owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annexed
<br />and having any objection to the proposed annexation, may appear before said City j
<br />Council and show cause why said territory should not be so annexed.
<br />IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that'the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City shall q i
