<br />ments and to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof, and which said assess-
<br />ment district, and the boundaries thereof, are more particularly described as:
<br />All that area lying within Blocks 11, 12, 18 and 20 of Eagle Hill Addition,
<br />a map of which wa filed June 24, 190A, Book 6 of Maps, page 22, San Mateo
<br />records, and Block D of Vera Avenuo Villas, a map of which was. filed April
<br />11, 1922, Book 11 of Maps, pages 3 and 4, San Mateo records; and all those
<br />lots of Subdivision of Lot 10, Wooster, Whitton and Montgomery's Subdivision,
<br />a map of which was filed April 11, 1910, Book 7 of ,Maps, Page 14, San Mateo
<br />records, and of Subdivision of Reserve section of Lot 10, Wooster, Whitton
<br />and Montgomery's Subdivision, a map of which was filed August 20, 1910, Book
<br />7 of Maps, Page 26, San Mateo County Records, which front on Johnson Street.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
<br />Redwood City that the said proposed improvements are hereby referred to the City
<br />Engineer of the City of Redwood City, as Engineer of Work, as the officer having
<br />charge and control of the construction of public improvements in and for said dis-
<br />trict_, of the kind described herein, being a competent person employed for that
<br />purpose, and said City Engineer is hereby directed to make and file with the
<br />City Clerk of said City, for presentation to this Council, a report in writing
<br />presenting the following:
<br />a. Plans and specifications of the proposed improvements to be made pursuant
<br />to this resolution;
<br />b. Engineer's statement of the itemized and total estimate costs and expenses
<br />of said improvements and of the incidental expenses in connection therewith;
<br />c. Diagram showing the assessment district above referred to, and also the
<br />boundaries and dimensions of the respective subdivisions of land within said district
<br />each of which subdivisions shall be given a separate number upon said diagram;
<br />d. A proposed assessment of the total amount of the cost and expenses of the
<br />proposed improvements upon the several subdivisions of land in said district in
<br />proportion to the estimated benefits to be received by such subdivisions, respectively,
<br />from said improvements, and of the expenses incidental thereto.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof
<br />held,on the 19th day of May, 1947, by the ,following vote:'
<br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution:

<br />Councilman Werder asked if it would be possible for the property owners to designate
<br />whether they preferred none or fourteen year bonds in such proceedings. It was
<br />pointed out that the term of the bonds was published in the resolution and City
<br />Manager Blom also stated that in this case the assessments would very likely be
<br />small and he believed the bonds would sell better on the nine year basis.
<br />AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE KNOWN AS THE INTERIM ORDINANCE providing certain
<br />regulations to the erection, construction and alteration of certain buildings pend -
<br />in the adoption of a new zoning ordinance was ordered filed on motion of Councilman

<br />Werder, seconded by Councilman Hilmquist. Under the question, Councilman McNulty
<br />questioned the necessity of declaring this to be an emergency ordinance. He was
<br />advised that it would prohibit the building of certain buildings during the thirty
<br />day period before the ordinance would become effective,by declaring it to be an
<br />"� emergency or an urgency ordinance. Motion passed unanimously.
