WR <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that the resignation of <br />EDdAR W. BLOM, heretofore submitted, be and it is hereby accepted, effective as of <br />October 15th, 1947. <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that said EDGAR W. BLOM be compensated for any or all vacation <br />time not taken prior to October 15th, 1947. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof on the 6th day of October,. 1947, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, McNULTY, SWIFT, WERDER and HOLMQUIST. <br />NOES, <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />Councilmen: Mayor HILTON <br />RALPH S. DODGE <br />Clerk of the City -of Redwood City <br />W. W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />I hereby approve the foregoing Resolution this <br />6th day of October, 1947. <br />W. HILTON <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />COUNCILMAN WERDER moved that Council express publicly and record in the regular minutes <br />of this meeting, their appreciation for Mr. Blom's efforts and accomplishments while <br />acting in the capacity of City Manager. Motion seconded by Councilman McNulty, and <br />carried unanimously. Councilman Britschgi expressed the thought that hereafter <br />Council should insist on Managers taking regular vacations even though press of <br />business might result in some difficulty in so arranging. <br />COUNCILMAN McNULTY OFFERED RESOLUTION, seconded by Councilman Holmquist appointing <br />ERNEST A. ROLISON as City Manager upon his qualifying by taking oath of office and <br />qualifing for bond in the sum of $108000.00. Resolution passed unanimously on <br />roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 509 <br />APPOINTMENT OF ERNEST A. ROLISON AS CITY MANAGER <br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that ERNEST A. ROLISON be <br />and i -s hereby appointed as City Manager of Redwood City, effective as of October <br />16th, 1947, upon his qualifying by taking the oath of office and qualifying for <br />a bond in the sum of TEN THOUSAND ($10,000.00) DOLLARS: <br />FURTHER RESOLVED that his total compensation be fixed at SEVEN THOUSAND, FIVE <br />HUNDRED 079500.00) DOLLARS per annum, payable in semimonthly installments. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held. on the 6th day of October, 1947, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: .BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, McNULTY, SWIFT and WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: Mayor HILTON <br />W.
