<br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER DISCUSSED .SALE OF XMAS TREES by merchants from outside Redwood City.
<br />After discussion, it was recommended that necessary steps be taken to regulate the
<br />use of vacant lots by non-resident vendors for the sale of Xmas trees. A deposit
<br />of $25.00 to be required to guarantee that the lot would be left clean and neat, and
<br />a flat fee of $5.00 per day, or $25.00 per week, be charged for selling license.
<br />Councilman Granger moved this matter be regulated by,ordinance or otherwise. The
<br />motion was seconded by Councilman Britschgi and passed.

<br />AUTHORIZING ENTRY TO SAFE DEPOSIT BOX.
<br />RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that, effective immediately,
<br />and continuing thereafter until notice of change•of this Resolution is given to
<br />BANK OF AMERICA NATIONAL TRUST AND SAVINGS ASSOCIATION, RALPH S. DODGE, City Treas-
<br />urer, W.•W. HILTON, Mayor and E. A. ROLISON, City Manager of the City of Redwood City;
<br />WHEREAS, the hereinafter described property was subjected to certain conditions
<br />and restrictions by a deed from Nelle L. Miramontes, City Tax Collector, City of
<br />Redwood City, to Leslie C. Wayne and Nora B. Wayne, his wife, as Joint Tenants, dated
<br />November 12, 1945 and recorded November 17; 1945 in Book -122b, Official Records of
<br />San Mateo County, at page 32; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Bank of America National Trust & Savings Association is about to
<br />make a loan on the property hereinafter described and desires that whatever rights
<br />might accrue to the City of Redwood City by reason of any breach of the conditions
<br />and restrictions contained in the above-mentioned deed be subordinated to their
<br />proposed loan;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Redwood City that
<br />the City Manager be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute an agreement entitled
<br />"Waiver" and dated October 22, 1947, which agreement provides that the rights of
<br />the City of•Redwood City -be made subordinate to the rights of the Bank of America

<br />National Trust & Savings Association.
<br />The property herein referred to is that certain real property situated in the
<br />City of Redwood City, County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows:
<br />Lot S in Block 47, as designated on the map entitled."MAP NO. 2 OF
<br />CENTRAL PARK REDWOOD CITY, SAN MATEO COUNTY°, which map was filed
<br />in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State -of
<br />California, on July 20, 1912 in Book S of Maps at pages 15 and 16:.
<br />The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the
<br />City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day•of November,
