registered scoters signing the petition was-met and-City Attorney-McCarthy- -
presented resolution calling for election and fixing time and place for hear-
Ing of protests. Councilman Britschgi offered resolution of intention to an-
nex territory known as Redwood Village to the City of Redwood City and moved
its adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger. Under the question, a resident
- of Redwood Village asked who would be responsible for the cost of installing
tees in.the water system to connect to the fire hydrant. City Manager Blom
advised that at the time of the installation of 'who water system the subdivi-
ders had not wanted to pay the cost of the tees. California Water Service has
refunded the cost of the installation of mains in Redwood Village No. 1. It
7 was the opinion of Mr. Blom that material for the installation of the tees
could be obtained within sixty to ninety day's and that an attempt should be
made with Conway and Culligan to finance the installation of the tees to be
repaid to them by taking over the water system.. He believed the location of
the hydrants should be left to the discretion of the Fire Chief anis himself.
On roll call, resolution was unanimously adopted with Mayor Hilton absent.
