CLAIMS -Nos. 5117 -to 5187, in the amount of $46;625.11•were--approved for'payment on, <br />motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman Holmquist. Councilman Granger <br />objected to payment of Nos. 5119 and 5121 for,purchases made from participants in <br />161 <br />City business which violated the rule of the Charter. Granger, H. E. Holmquist, <br />A. H. Morgan, Jr., A. V. Swift, R. V. Spillers, Mayor 1-1. M. Werder and City Clerk <br />• <br />R. S. Dodge. Also present were: City Manager E. A. Rolison, City Attorney C. B. <br />Currie, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, City Collector P. 2. Perrin, Assessor -Auditor <br />j J. J. Brophy, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan, Assistant Building Inspector <br />Stephen Kreiss, Administrative Assistant Richard D. Miller, Police Chief C. L. <br />Collins, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi. Councilman Britschgi noted absent. <br />MINUTES WERE APPROVED AS MAILED for the regular meeting of January 3rd, on motion of <br />Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried. <br />PETITION OF 270 SIGNATURES WAS PRESENTED by residents of Friendly Acres submitting the <br />question as to whether the territory formerly known as "Friendly Acres" should be <br />excluded from and cease to be a part of the corporate limits of the City of Redwood <br />City. Councilman Morgan moved that the petition be referred,to the City Attorney <br />so that the signatures could be checked, seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DISAPPROVAL OF APPLICATION, ANTHONY NUCCITELLI TO RESUB- <br />DIVIDE Lots 11 and 12, Block 8, New High School Acres. The corner would be too <br />narrow, -especially after the possible future widening of Jefferson Avenue. Sketch <br />submitted. Councilman Morgan moved that the Planning Commission recommendation be <br />upheld,,, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION AND RECOMMENDED APPROVAL AMENDING SECTION 4, of <br />Zoning Ordinance 600, so that property within the City Limits on Woodside Road <br />between Hess Road and Virginia Avenue (excluding present C-1 Districts) be rezoned <br />from R-1 and R-2 Districts as now existing to R-3 Districts for a depth of 267 feet <br />on either side of said Woodside Road. Councilman Morgan moved this be put forth to <br />the next meeting for further study by the Council, seconded by Councilman Swift, <br />and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTED RESOLUTION AND R.E0014MENDED APPROVAL amending Section 15.1 <br />of'Zoning Ordinance 600, by adding the following: <br />(a) 2. The following additional uses in addition to those hereinbefore <br />specified may be permitted.in any R Districts, <br />(a) Crop and tree farming may be permitted in any R District upon the <br />obtaining of a use permit in each case. <br />(b) Public or private lots for automobiles may be permitted in any <br />"Ru District adjacent to any C or M Districts providing a use <br />permit shall first be obtained in each case. <br />(c) A second one-fami,.y dwelling, may be allowed in any R-1 or <br />R-2 District, when at the time of the effective date of this <br />Ordinance, there exists a one -family dwelling located on the <br />back one-half (1/2) of any lot and provided that a use permit <br />shall be first obtained in each case <br />
