This would facil-
itate their service as it took ten days to two weeks to order plates from San Fran-
cisco and it was necessary to change from 5 to 20 plates during a month. Councilman
Morgan moved that the request be granted, seconded by Councilman Swift. Some 3000 envelopes were addressed about two years ago and some of
the addressed envelopes were still turning up in the mails. Mr. Brophy explained
that this came up seven or eitht months ago, that when he first came to work for the
r
' City this work had been allowed up to that time and when it was requested again the
l ( girl in the Water Department ran them off as before without knowing that a change
had been made in the policy, not to do the work. Letter was signed by Chester
{ C. Armstrong, President. Mr. Rolison thought due to the fact this was outside the
City limits, it should have approval of the Council, plans to be worked out by
City Engineer Jain and himself. Councilman Britschgi thought this would be a bene-
fit to the City and moved that -the necessary authorities enter into agreement with
the Hospital District, seconded by Councilman Swift, and carried.
IN REGARD TO ADJACENT AREA applications received some time ago for water connection it
C' was decided to give the matter further study, City Manager Rolison to report back
to the Council.
i
MR. Recreation Director Morton approved the loan and stands would be
returned in the same condition. Councilman Spillers moved that the loan be granted,
i
seconded by Councilman Britschgi. It was understood that comprehensive insurance
policy would cover out of the City use of stands. Motion carried.
i
i. PLANNING COMMISSION REQUESTED APPROVAL OF EXPENDITURE OF $50 to obtain a new aerial
JJt photograph of the Friendly Acres area. The purpose was to make a study to deter-
mine a more practical land use of the very long lots in that area.
