E. <br />Perrin, Assistant Building Inspector Stephen Kreiss., Water Superintendent H. L. <br />Winter, Building Inspector L. M. Duncan, City Manager E. A. Rol ison, Fire Chief <br />J. L. Lodi, Assessor -Auditor J. J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Police <br />Chief C. L. Collins. Councilman Britschgi noted absent. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES AS MAILED. Minutes of the regular meeting of March 7th and the <br />adjourned meeting of March 10th were approved on motion of Councilman Morgan, sec- <br />onded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />RESTAURANT LICENSE APPLICATIONS: LI'L JOE'S ITALIAN KITCHEN 1772 Broadway, V. Mazzurco <br />and L. D'Antonio, on -sale been, COOKIE'S CAFE, 939 Main Street, Willie Williamson. <br />Both restaurants had been inspected by Health, Building, Fire and Police Depart- <br />ments. Permits were granted on motion of Councilman Holmquist, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Morgan, and carried. <br />OHIO CASUALTY INSURANCE COMPANY SUBMITTED A CHECK OF $10.00 to settle a claim for broken <br />sidewalk on Blandford. The City estimated damage of $19.00 but City Attorney Currie <br />stated they wished to settle for $10 and he recommended this be accepted. It was <br />so moved by Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, and carried. <br />AUTHORIZATION OF PAYMENT OF BILL OF $25.00, to attorneys who handled City's claim against <br />the International Re -Insurance Corporation re Ruellan vs City of Redwood City. <br />Authorization granted on motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Spillers, <br />and carried. <br />CANCER PREVENTION SOCIETY.OF LOS ANGELES request to solicit funds in Redwood City. This <br />application had been referred to the Community Chest of Redwood City for their <br />recommendation.
