i <br />MAYOR WERDER SUGGESTED THE COUNCIL MEMBERS --BRING THINGS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE DEPAR- S <br />MENT HEADS on which they wished answers,or comments by Comday noon before the Council <br />meetings. This would give the department heads an opportunity to think over items <br />and eliminate the necessity of placeing on agenda for the following meeting. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER STATED THAT DOUGLAS AVENUE WAS IN THE SAME CONDITION AS CHARTER STREET, <br />trucks use one side of the street. City Engineer Jain stated proceedings would <br />have to start with the County for this improvement, but he would check into.1t. The <br />County -line was the center of the road. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER ASKED ABOUT THE STREET LIGHTS FOR LENOLT TRACT. City Manager Rolison <br />stated the work order had been sent into the Joint Pole Association by Fire Chief <br />Lodi. Councilman Granger moved that a letter be sent to the P. G. & E. asking for <br />'I a report on the progress of street lighting in this tract, seconded by Councilman <br />Holmquist, and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE STATED ME. A.• RUMWELL, attorney, requested the return of petition <br />to exclude Friendly Acres.so that more .names could be added to this list. Council= <br />man Spil-lers moved the request be granted, -seconded by Councilman. Morgan, and carried. <br />RESOLUTION TO RECORD THE SEWER CONNECTION GRANTED TO AMBROS.IO'V. Councilman Holmquist, Chairman of the Creek Committee, <br />invited Mr. Britschgi to the Wednesday evening committee meeting at which progress <br />and cost would be discussed. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST ASKED WHEN FRIENDLY ACRES WOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF MENLO PARK LIGHTING <br />DISTRICT; property owners in DELMAR COURT submitted a petition for street lights with <br />11 <br />six signatures. City Attorney Currie stated A petition should have 50 signatures <br />lls� or one-half of the people resideing there whichever was the smaller number. Mayor <br />was offered and adoption moved by Councilman Holmquist, seconded by Councilman <br />Granger, and carried on roll call. <br />RESOLUTION No. 696. <br />AUTHORIZING RECORDATION OF ROJAS AGREEI4ENT <br />RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Redwood City that that certain Agree- <br />ment, dated March 7, 1949, between AMBROSIO V. ROJAS and ISABEL ROJAS and the CITY <br />`OF REDWOOD CITY be, and it hereby is, ordered to be recorded in the office of the <br />Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of California. <br />i <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the Cit of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 21st day of March, 19+9, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen BRITSCIiGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, SWIFT, and Mayor <br />WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: NONE <br />W.
