<br />record in Book No. 22 of Minutes, at pages 169 to 172, inclusive, and said resolution
<br />is a full, true and correct copy of the original resolution adopted.at said meeting
<br />and entered in said minutes. That said resolution has note been amended, modified or
<br />rescinded since the date of its adoption and the same is now in full force and effect.

<br />REDWOOD CITY COUNCIL
<br />April 18, 1949, 8:00 P. M.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were present: Councilmen: Carl A. Britschgi, Floyd D. Granger,
<br />H. E. Holmquist, A. J. Morgan, Jr., R. V. Spillers, Mayor W. M. Werder, and'City Clerk
<br />R. S. Dodge. Also present were: Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Building Inspector
<br />L. M. Duncan, Assistant Building Inspector Stephen Kreiss, Police Chief C. L. Collins,
<br />Administrative Assistant Richard D. Miller,.City Attorney C. B. Currie, City Manager
<br />E. A. Rolison, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi, Fire. Inspector
<br />Richard Dri'von, City Collector P. E. Perrin, Auditor -Assessor J. J. Brophy. •Council-
<br />man Swift noted absent.
<br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES AS MAILED. Minutes of the regular meeting of April 4th and special meet-
<br />ing of April 11th were approved on motion of Councilman Holmquist, seconded by Coun-
<br />oilman Britschgi, and carried. Votes were. canvassed on special bond election,
<br />April 11th meetin. Council did not convene on April 12th, adjournment called for in
<br />minutes of April 4th.
<br />A REQUEST FOR A DANCE PERMIT FOR FRIDAY NIGHT, May 6th, Forester's Hall, by the Happy Hour
<br />Social Club was granted on motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman
<br />Britschgi, and carried.
<br />REPAIR DOUGLAS AVENUE. A letter received from Pd. A. Grant, County Engineer, directed to
<br />City Engineer Jain with reference to unpaved (County) half of Douglas Avenue. They
<br />felt this half should be improved and would co-operate in formation of an assessment
<br />district, that a I'No Trucking" sign would help, but did not know what legal procedure
<br />to take. Councilman Granger moved that this be referred to City Manager Rolison and
<br />the Engineering Department, City Attorney Currie to confer with the District Attorney
<br />the legal procedure to be determined for the welfare of this district and safety of
<br />children. City Engineer Jain to report back to the Council. Motion seconded by
<br />Councilman Spillers, and carried.
<br />C. G. UHLENBERG & COMPANY, AUDITORS, submitted a letter offering three audits per year
<br />for the fiscal year 19+9-50 on continuous audit basis, reports as of October 31, 19492
<br />'March 31, 1950, and final annual report at the close of the year, June 30, 1950,
<br />maximum fee not to exceed $1300. They would be available at all times for advice and
<br />counsel. Councilman'Granger moved that this be included in the budget, seconded by
