174 discussion, the second was withdrawn and motion withdrawn by maker, City Attorney <br />Currie is to report back what steps would be necessary to accomplish reconstruction <br />of driveways. <br />PETITION OF 27.. RESIDENTS, 2700 and 2800 Blocks on Hopkins Avenue, objected to permit <br />granted by Planning Commission of the house moved from Stafford Street to portion <br />of Lot 6, Block 11, Oak Knoll Manor, in R-1 District, owned by Mr. Figone. The <br />house was over 50 years old, very shabby and requested the Council to instruct the <br />Building Inspector to have elevation of the house comply with revised plans and <br />specifications. Mr. Edwin Mackey, 65 Circle Road .(cor. Hopkins) appeared and urged <br />that plans be followed to the letter. Councilman Granger moved that Building <br />Inspector Duncan be instructed to follow points recommended by people in this area <br />and plans and specifications be made a part of file and proceedings, seconded by !� <br />Councilman Spillers, and carried. <br />MR. B. A. LEESE, HOOVER SCHOOL, SUBMITTED A LETTER OF THANKS to City Engineer Jain, <br />Traffic Committee and workmen for the prompt installation of cross walks and street <br />"School Xing" signs. Letter ordered filed. <br />TRANSFER OF $1,000 from Unbudgeted Reserve to Police Motor Vehicle to cover anticipated <br />expenditures to the end of the fiscal year. The account was currently overexpended <br />because some 0300 was due from insurance carrier on two recent accidents. Council- <br />man Morgan offered a resolution and moved its adoption for transfer, seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers, and carried on roll call. Councilman Swift noted absent. <br />RE SO LUTI ON No. 696 <br />TRANSFERRING $1,000.00 FROM UNBUDGETED RESERVE TO ACCOUNT NO -410-3 POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT MOTOR VEHICLE. rW <br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City that the sum of <br />One Thousand Dollars ($$1,000.00) be and it hereby is ordered transferred from <br />Unbudgeted Reserve to Account No. 410.3, Police Department Motor Vehicle. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof held on the 18th day of April, 1949, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution: <br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SPILLERS, AND .MAYOR WERDER. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: SWIFT. <br />ATTEST: <br />RALPH S.
