City Manager Rolison explained the Cit; did not <br />have the particular equipment to handle the work and it was too expensive to install <br />same. <br />COUNCILMAN MORGAN SUGGESTED CHECKING PARKING 14ETERS WITH DOUBLE HEADS, that it might be <br />a feasible economy to have some of these in the future. City Manager Rolison and <br />City Engineer Jain were acquainted with this type of meter and thought there might <br />be some advantage of such installation particularly in parking lots, and would get <br />further information on them. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER ASKED ABOUT THE CONDITION OF JOHNSON STREET. City Engineer Jain stated <br />work had been done on this date and more would be done this week. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER THOUGHT THAT ANY BUILDING TO BE MOVED TO AN EMPTY LOT SHOULD HAVE THIS <br />SPECIFIC INFORMATION POSTED ON THE E14PTY LOT with location of the building to be moved, <br />notice to be posted 15 days in advance of intent to move, thus giving residents in <br />that area an opportunity to see what was being moved into their neighborhood. This <br />was placed on the agenda for proposed ordinance. <br />COUNCILMAN GRANGER THOUGHT USE PERMITS GRANTED BY THE PLANNING C014MISSION should be re- <br />corded as a protection to purchaser of property, who would then understand they were <br />buying property under certain conditions. <br />COUNCIL14AN SPILLERS ASKED ABOUT A CLAIM, charge for service on a 1948 Dump Truck. This <br />was a three months service included with the purchase of truck, labor given but <br />charge made for materials. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERS ASKED ABOUT THE PROGRESS OF STAFFORD PARK. Bids were received as follows: <br />Cyclone Fence Division (American Steel & Wire Go.) including tax $712.00 <br />San Jose Stell Company, Inc. 850.00 <br />On motion of Councilman Spillers, seconded by Councilman_ Granger, recommendation <br />of City Engineer Jain and City Manager Rolison was approved, and bid awarded to <br />Cyclone Fence Division. Motion carried. <br />SPEED LIMIT, HARBOR BOULEVARD. City Manager Rolison advised the Fact -Finding Committee <br />recommended that the Council establish by ordinance a prima facie speed limit of <br />35 miles per hour.
