198 poles and,other convenient structures, equipment and fixtures for the operation of
<br />gas lines,'` telegraphic and telephone lines, railroad lines, and for the transpor-
<br />tation or distribution of electric energy, petroleum and its products, ammonia,
<br />grater, and incidental purposes, including access and the rights to steep the property
<br />free from inflammable materials and wood growth and otherwise protect the same from
<br />all hazards in, upon and over the streets herein proposed to be vacated.

<br />statute of limitations until July 1, 1954, authorizing signature of Ilayor to the
<br />agreement was offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Granger, seconded by
<br />Councilman Spillers and carried on roll call.
<br />RESOLUTION No. 710
<br />AUTHORIZING AGREEMENT WITH PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY
<br />WHEREAS, in a proceeding begun by the City of Redwood City against the Pacific
<br />Gas and Electric Company before the Railroad Commission of the State of California,
<br />designated in the records of said commission as Application No. 19524, said com-
<br />mission awarded to said Pacific Gas and Electric Company costs against the City of
<br />Redwood City in the sum of $15,275.37; and
<br />WHEREAS said City is desirous that said electric company shall not bring any
<br />action for collection of said sum prior to July 1, 1950; and
<br />WHEREAS said electric Company has submitted to said City an agreement whereby
<br />said electric company agrees not to bring any action to collect said sum before
<br />said date if City will enter into an agreement waiving the statute of limitations
<br />until July 1, 1954;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE AND IT HEREBY IS RESOLVED that the Mayor of the City of
<br />Redwood City, California, be and he hereby is authorized and directed to enter
<br />into an agreement with the Pacific Gas and Electric Company according t,o the terms
<br />and conditions set forth in that agreement furnished by the Pacific Gas and Electric
<br />Company to the City of Redwood City for approval, to which atreement reference is
<br />hereby made for specific particulars.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular
<br />meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of May, 1949, by the following; vote:
