GRANGER <br />Acting Iriayor of the City of Redwood City <br />ROSSI SIGN COMPANY REQUESTED REASON FOR DENIAL TO ERECT DIRECTIONAL SIGN ON BAYSHORE HIGHWAY TO SEQUOIArill <br />HOTEL. CouncilmanSpillers moved this be referred to the Planning Commission as it was their recom. <br />mendation that this be denied, seconded by Councilman Holmquist and carried. <br />CALIFORNIA MISSION TRAILS AGAIN REQUESTED SUPPORT FOR PROGRAM OF TOURIST PROMOTION HAVING ASKED THE COUNCIL <br />FOR AN APPROPRIATION OF $200 in February. As the Council had taken action to allow $150'jin the forth— <br />coming budget, Councilman Holmquist moved that communication be filed, seconded by CouncilmanSpillers- <br />and carried. <br />REQUEST FOR LOADING ZONE ON MIDDLEFIELD ROAD AT REAR OF BUTLER BROTHERS STORE, space now occupied by two <br />car parking meters. Councilman Spillers moved that spgce be granted with the understanding that <br />the two stores in the middle of the block have equal access to this leading zone, seconded by <br />Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI MOVED THAT THE CITY ATTORNEY BE INSTRUCTED TO PREPARE AN ORDINANCE TO CONTROL <br />UNDUE AND EXCESSIVE NOISE ON THE STREETS IN RE TO THE LAUNCHING OF NEW BUSINESS ETC, seconded by <br />Councilman Morgan._ City Attorney stated there was recent legislation on this sort of disturbance. <br />Motion carried, Councilman Spillers voting No. <br />REQUEST FOR PERMIT TO SOLICIT PAINTING OF HOUSE NUMBERS ON THE CURB. BY DONALD LEE DARNELL, CARDINAL HOTEL, <br />PAIR ALTO, was denied on motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman Morgan. It was the <br />general opinion that this work should be given to a local veteran rather than a non—resident. <br />Motion carried. <br />TEEN-AGE'CENTER BILIS submitted for approval: <br />. CouncilmanSpillers <br />moved bills be paid, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />APPLICATION FOR RESTAURANT LICENSE, BUTLER BROTHERS, MIDDLEFIELD ROAD & BROADWAY..epproved by Health, <br />I <br />Building, Fire and Police Departments was -granted on motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by <br />I j <br />Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />REQUEST FOR CANCELIATION FROM CURRENT TAX ROLL AGAITViT CITY OF RED1400D CITY BY CITY COLLECTOR PERRIN. <br />Weed Abatement $$345.12 <br />Real Property Taxes 33.68 <br />Delinquent Real Property Taxes 41.82 <br />$420.62 <br />Councilman Morgan moved approval of cancellation, seconded by Councilman Swift and carried. <br />
