WERDER <br />Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br />THE HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 709, ENTITLED "RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO VACATE CERTAIN PORTIONS OF WILLOW <br />AND HILTON STREETS IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY", was opened at 8:30 PM at the City Hall, Redwood <br />City, California. <br />THE AFFIDAVIT OF GLENN M. JAIN, SUPERINTENDENT OF STREETS OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, RELATIVE TO POSTING <br />NOTICES ALONG THE STREETS PROPOSED TO BE VACATED AND ABANDONED, wqs presentedto the Council. <br />THE AFFIDAVIT'OF LuVERNE H. HAMLIN RELATIVE TO PUBLICATION OF SAID RESOLUTION NO. 709 for the period <br />endrin the form required by law was offered to the Council. <br />ON MOTION OF COUNCILMAN MORGAN, seconded by Councilman Swift, and duly carried, the aforementioned affidavits <br />were ordered filed. <br />ACTING MAYOR GRANGER THEN INQUIRED IF. ANY WRITTEN PROTESTS HAD BEEN FILED with the Clerk. The Clerk re- <br />ported that no written protests had been filed with him prior to the time set for the hearing. <br />Acting Mayor Granger then asked if anyone persent desired to be heard from the floor. No verbal <br />protests were made from the floor. On motion of Councilman Hol{fiquist, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi, and duly carried, the hearing on the proposed vacation of portions of Willow and Hilton <br />Streets in the City of Redwood City was declared closed. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 717 ENTITLED "RESOLUTION ORDERING VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF WILLOW AND <br />HILTON STREETS; IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY" -was presented to the Council. On motion of Councilman <br />Holiquist, seconded by Councilman Spillers, and upon roll call, it was adopted. Councilmen Britschgi <br />and Warder noted absent. <br />R E S O L U T I O N N 0. 717 <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING VACATION AND ABANDONMENT OF CERTAIN PORTIONS OF WILLOW AND HILTON STREETS' <br />IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />WHEREAS the Council of the City of Redwood City, on May 2, 1949, passed and adopted a Resolution <br />No. 709, which resolution declared said Council's intention to vacate and abandon certain portions <br />of Willow and Hilton Streets as a public street in the City of Redwood City; and <br />WHEREAS said resolution fixed the date of May 23, 1949, ad the date of the hearing in the City <br />Hall, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock P.M., on said Council's intention to vacate and abandon said <br />portions of Willow and Hilton Streets; and <br />WHEREAS the Superintendent of Streets of the City of Redwood City conspicuously posted along <br />said streets proposed to be vacated and abandoned, in three (3) places on each street and at least <br />ten (10) days before the date fixed for the hearing on said abandonment, a notice of intention to <br />vacate certain portions of -Willow and Hilton Streets in the Cityof Redwood City; and I <br />WHEREAS said Resolution No. 709 was duly published in the Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except <br />Sunday) newspaper published, printed and circulated in the City of Redwood City, all as required ty <br />law; and <br />WHEREAS no protest or objection to the abandonment and vacation of said streets as a public <br />street was made at said hearing; <br />i <br />s <br />r, <br />
