<br />(a)`Orhe.improvement of all the alleys in blocks 11, 129 14 and 20, as said alleys are shown
<br />on the map entitled. "gagle Hill Addition", recorded in Volume 6, page 22, of Official Records of
<br />Saz% Mateo County,and that alley between, Block 18 as shown on the aforementioned map and Block D as
<br />shown on that map entitled %Vera Avenue Villas", recorded in Volume 11 at pages 3 and 4, Official
<br />Records of San Mateo County, by constructing and installing therein, fox the entire length and width,
<br />a.,1JCinch asphaltdc concrete paving with a. 4f -inch crusher -run rock base, except that in the center
<br />of each of said alleys, a 6 -inch concrete valley gutter, 2 feet in width, shall be, constructed for the
<br />entire length of each of said( alleys, except that in Block 20 said valley gutter shall be diverted
<br />to the northeasterly corner of said alley for its last. 15 -feet at the northeasterly end of said alley.
<br />(b) By resurfacing with asphaltic concrete paving as necessary, the intersections of the afore.
<br />mentioned alleys with the streets fronting on said alleys, not further than the center line of said
<br />streets as shown on the aforementioned maps.

<br />,(c)•Byrcon§tructing a..6�inch concrete valley gutter.li-feet wide across the ends of certain of
<br />the aforementioned alleys and in line with the existing curbs on the streets fronting on said alleys, in
<br />the following locations::
<br />(1) At both ends of that alley in globk ll;
<br />(2) At the northeasterly end of,that alley in Block 12;
<br />(3) At the northeasterly end of that alley in Block 14;
<br />(4) At the northeasterly end of that alley between Lot 18 and Block D.
<br />-(d) ',The improvement of that alley in Block 14 hereinbefore described, by constructing therein
<br />4 -inch vitrified clay sanitary sewer laterals to serve,,Lots 3, 19 and 20, in said Block 14, and the
<br />improvement of that alley between Block 18 and Block D hereinbefore described, by installing therein
<br />a 4..inch vitrified clay sanitary sewer lateral to carve Lot 7, said sewer laterals to be -connected with
<br />the existing 6 -inch vitrified clay sanitary sewer now located therein.
<br />(e) The construction and installation of all necessary appurtenances
<br />under items(&) through (d) inclusive,

<br />All of said work and, improvements are to be constructed at the
<br />the lines, grades and elevations, as shown upon the plans, profiles
<br />and on file in the office of the City Engineer of Redwood.City.

<br />Said contemplated' work and improvement, in the opinion of said City Council, is of more than
<br />local or ordinary public benefit, and said Council does hereby make the cost and expenses of doing
<br />such work and improvement chargeable upon a District, whichDistrict said CityCouncil declares to be
<br />the District benefited by said work and improvement and to be assessed to pay the entire Bost and
<br />expenses thereof, and which said Assessment District is wholly within the limits of saidCity of
<br />RedwoodCity, State of California, and is described as follows:
<br />Sgid area being a portion of EAGLE HILL ADDITION -1 San Mateo County,California,:ecoiZded June 24,
<br />1908 in Map Book 6 at page 22, Records of San Mateo County; and a portion ofVERA AVENUE VILTZ, San
<br />Mateo County,California, recorded April 11, 1922 in Volume 11 of Maps at pages 3 and 4, records of
<br />San Mateo County being more particularly,described as follows:
<br />- All of Lots fronting on alleys in Blocks 11, 12,44 and 20 of said Eagle Hill Addition; .and
<br />all�Lots fronting on that alley between Block 18 of said Eagle Hill Addition and Block D of `said
<br />Vera Avenue Villas.
<br />There is excepted from said District all streets and other public property in use in the
<br />performance of a public function.
<br />Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent the -unpaid assessments of $25.00 or over,
<br />bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) per annum wA be issued pursuant to Article I of
<br />Ordinance No. 333 of said City, entitled "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordinance 1° adopted
<br />March 11., 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds shall mature fourteen (14) years
<br />from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 15th day of the next Novembeptollowing their date.
<br />, Notice is hereby given that Monday, the 18th day of July, 1949, at the hour of eight.o'clock
<br />P.M. at the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said City, is hereby fixed as the time and place
<br />when'and where any and all persons interested may appear andashow cause, if any they have, why
<br />the City Council should!,not fine and determine that the public convenience and necessity requires
<br />the improvements described and referred to in this resolution, without further compliance with
<br />the Special Assessment, Inve§tigation, Limitation, and Majority Protest Act of 1931 of theState
<br />of California now embodied in the Streets and Highways Code of California as Division 4 thereof.
<br />The City Clerk shall give notice of the adoption of this resolution by publishing a Notice
<br />of Proposed Local Improvement once in the RedwoodCityTribune, a daily newspaper published and
<br />circulated in said City, and by -posting same on or near the Council Chamberfloor of said Council,
<br />said posting and publication to be made at least ten (10) days before the date of said hearing.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of RedwoodGity at a regular meeting thereof,
<br />held on the 5th day of July, 1949, by the following vote:
