Ulf <br />239 <br />SEIAGE TREAT16T PiANT TESTING. City Engineer submitted report that the Sewage. Treatment Plant was now <br />a <br />ready for full testing procedure by Contractor. Several months ago the Council required the cbn- <br />tractor to complete testing of Bayshore and Pulgas Interceptor Sewers within 30 days. ,Leakage. is <br />approximately 60,000 gallons per mile per day in the Pulgas Interceptor Sewer and approximately <br />40,000 gallons in theBayshore Interceptor Sewer. City Council should make the decision as to the <br />acceptance of those lines, or the requirements for their repairing and testing, and further de- <br />termine the responsibility of the contractor for any delays in testing and operation of the plant <br />as a result of the inability of the sewer contractor to provide sewage for testing. bompletion <br />date on Interceptor Sewers was October 15, 1945, which was exceeded at this time by 8 months. <br />$1,404.74 had been spent by the City for inspection charges since the actual original date of <br />completion of this project. After discussion Councilman Morgan moved that City Engineer's letter <br />be referred to the bonding company, carbon copy to the contractor, seconded by Councilman Granger <br />and carried. <br />OF ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 603 SALARY 1949-50, by Councilman Holmquist, seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers and carried. Ordinance to be effective the date of adoption but. retroactive <br />r <br />as of July 1st, 1949. <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING MEMORANDUM, OF AGREEMENT FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS7 having been examined by City Attorney <br />at request of City Engineer, was offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Granger, seconded <br />by Councilman Holmquist and carried on roll call. <br />13S70LUTI0W '.Rr0 732 <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ADOPTING BUDGET AND <br />APPROVING MEMORANDUM (T' AGREEMENT FOR EXPENDITURE OF GAS' TAX ALLOCATION FOR <br />MAJOR CITY STREETS <br />WHEREAS, a memorandum of agreement has been presented to be entered into with the State <br />of Cslifornia`in accordance with a project statement submitted by the City of RedwoodCity for <br />expenditure of the -gas tax allocation to cities for the fiscal year 1950, and <br />WHEREAS, The city council has heard read said agreement in full and is familiar with the <br />contents thereof; <br />THEREFORE, be it resolved by the city council of the City of Redwood City that said project <br />statement be and it is hereby adopted as the budget of proposed expenditures of the gas tax allo- <br />catibn to cities, and said agreement be and the same is hereby approved and the m*or and and the <br />city ele'.rk are directed to sign the same on behalf of said City, said agreement to be binding <br />upon the City upon its execution by the authorized officials of the State. <br />ADOPTED. this 5th day of July, 1949. <br />W.
