<br />Whenever any public way is referred to as running between two public ways, or
<br />from or to any public way, the intersections of the public ways referred to are
<br />included*fo the extent that work shall be done therein pursuant to the plans and
<br />specifications hereinbefore referred to.
<br />Said Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said
<br />work the grades as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor and
<br />hereinbefore referred to.
<br />The total estimated cost of said improvements as determined by the City Engineer
<br />of Redwood City, California, is the sum of 513,409.90.
<br />Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said City Council,
<br />is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said Council does hereby make
<br />the cost and expenses of doing such work and improvements chargeable upon a district,
<br />which district said Council declares to be the district benefited by said work and
<br />improvements and to be assessed to pay the entire cost and expense thereof and which
<br />said district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City, State of
<br />California, and is described as follows:
<br />Said area to include Lot 3, Block 1 of HOOPER and CUNNINGHAM SUBDIVISION, San
<br />Mateo, California, recorded April 10, 1907 in Vol. "E" Maps at page 58, and
<br />copied into Book 4 of Maps at Page 62, San Mateo County records; and a por-
<br />tion of WEST REDWOOD ADDITION No. 1, San Mateo County, California, recorded
<br />November 7, 1908 in Vol. 6 at page 47, San Mateo County records, the bearings
<br />of which are the basis of this description, and which area is more particu-
<br />larly described as follows:
<br />BEGINNING at the intersection of the Southeastern line of Roosevelt
<br />Avenue, 60.00 feet in width, with the Northeastern line of Lot 3, Block 2
<br />of said West Redwood Addition No. 1; thence S 450 301 E, 104.00 feet;
<br />thence S 440 30+ W, 20.00 feet; thence S 450 301 E, 67s, 0 feet to the
<br />center line of Oak Avenue, 50 feet in width; thence S 44 301 W along
<br />said center line of Oak Avenue, 290.00 feet; thence N 450 301 W, 675.50
<br />feet; thence S 440 301 W, 25.00 feet; thence N 450 301 W, 134 feet to the
<br />center line of Roosevelt Avenue, 335.00 feet; thence S 450 301 E, 30.00 feet
<br />to the point of beginning.
<br />There is excepted from said district, all streets and other public property
<br />used in the performance of a public function.
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and said Council of said City does determine, that
<br />serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments of 025.00 of over, bearing interest
<br />at the rate of six per cent (6%;) per annum will be issued pursuant to Article I of
<br />Ordinance No. 333 of said City, entitled "Redwood City Improvement Procedure Ordi-
<br />nance", adopted March 14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds
<br />shall mature fourteen (11.) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the
<br />15th day of the next November following their date.
<br />Reference is hereby made to the Resolution of said Council determining to
<br />make said improvements without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investiga-
<br />tion, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Resolution No- 744, on
<br />file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.

<br />All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in Article I of said
<br />Ordinance No. 333, as amended.
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that Manday, the 15th day of August, 1949,
<br />at the hour of 8:00 Pal. of said day, at the Council Chamber of said Council of
<br />said City, in the City Hall on Middlefield Road in said City, has been and is here-
<br />by fixed as the day, hour and place when and where any and all persons having any
<br />objections to the proposed work and improvements described herein, or to the grade
<br />to which said work and improvements are to be done and made, or to the district
<br />proposed to be assessed for said work and improvements, may appear before said
<br />Council of said City and show cause why said proposed work and improvements should
<br />not be carried out and done in -accordance with this resolution of intention, or
<br />why said work and improvements should not be carried out and done at the grades as
<br />shown on the plans, profiles, and detailed drawings referred to herein, and for
<br />hearing any protests in relation to said proposed improvement.
<br />The Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday).newspaper, published,
<br />printed and circulated in said City of Redwood City, is hereby designated by the
<br />Council of said City as the newspaper in which to publish this Resolution of
<br />Intention as'required by law, and the Clerk of said City of Redwood City is here-
<br />by ordered and directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in
<br />said newspaper twice, as required by law.
<br />The Street Superintendent of said�City of Redwood City shall cause notices
<br />of the passage of this Resolution of Intention to be posted in the time, form,
<br />manner and number as required by law.
<br />The Clerk of said City shall mail notices of the adoption of the Resolution
<br />of Intention to all persons owning real property proposed to be assessed, whose
<br />names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll for said City
<br />taxes, prior thereto, in time, form and manner as required by law.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the Citof Redwood City at a regular
<br />meeting thereof, held on the 18th day of July, 199, by the following vote:
