<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City, that the plans, pro-
<br />files, detailed drawings and specifications for improvements in the City of Redwood
<br />City, as prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City and presented to
<br />the City Council on the 18th day of July, 1949, be, and they are, hereby approved
<br />and ordered filed in the office of the City Clerk of said City.

<br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS, VIRGINIA AVENUE was
<br />offered and moved for adoption by Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman
<br />Holmquist, and carried on roll call. Councilmen Morgan, Spillers, and Mayor Werder

<br />RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT CERTAIN PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS.
<br />VIRGINIA AVENUE
<br />RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Redwood City that the public'
<br />convenience and necessity require, and that it intends to order in accordance with
<br />the procedure set out in Article I of Ordinance No. 333 of said City, adopted
<br />March lk, 1932, as amended, the following work to be done and improvements to be
<br />made in and for said City, to wit:
<br />(a) The improvement of Virginia Avenue from its intersection with
<br />Roosevelt Avenue to its intersection with Oak Avenue by constructing and
<br />installing therein concrete curb and gutter, 5" standard concrete driveway
<br />approaches to serve those residences where driveways now exist, 4 concrete
<br />sidewalks 5' wide, 2" asphaltic concrete paving on 6" crusher -run rock base,

<br />31' wide.
<br />(b) The construction and installation of an 18" reinforced concrete pipe
<br />siphon with a catch basin at either end thereof, across Virginia Avenue at
<br />.its intersection with Roosevelt Avenue.
<br />(c) The removal of an existing catch basin at the southwest corner of
<br />the intersection of Virginia Avenue with Oak Avenue and the installation of a
<br />new catch basin at the aforementioned intersection, and the construction and
<br />installation of an 18" reinforced concrete pipe storm sewer lateral from said
<br />catch basin to the center line of Oak Avenue.
<br />(d) The construction and installation of all necessary appurtenances to
<br />the work to be done under items (a) through (c) inclusive.
<br />All of said work and improvements are to be constructed at the places, in the
<br />manner, of the sizes, of the materials, and to the lines, grades and elevations as
<br />shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor, and on file ir'the
<br />office of the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City, and the same are made a
<br />part hereof by reference thereto.
