<br />(a) The improvement of all the alleys in Blocks 11, 12, lkv and 20, as,
<br />said alleys are shown on the map entitled "Eagle Hill Addition , recorded in
<br />Volume 62 page 22, of Official Records of San Mateo County, and. that .alley between
<br />Block 18 as shown on the aforementioned map and Block D. as shown on that map
<br />entitled "Vera Avenue Villas", recorded in Volume 11 at pages 3 and 4, Official
<br />Records of San Mateo County, by constructing. and installing therein, for�the
<br />entire length and width, a 1-172 inch asphaltic concrete paving with a 4-1/2
<br />inch crusher -run rock base, except that in the center of each of said alleys a
<br />6 inch concrete valley gutter, 2 feet in width, shall be constructed for the
<br />entire length of each of said alleys, except that in Block 20 said valley gutter
<br />shall be diverted to the northeasterly corner of said alley for its last 15
<br />feet at the northeasterly end of said alley.
<br />(b) By -resurfacing with asphaltic concrete paving as necessary, the inter-
<br />sections of the aforementioned alleys with the streets fronting on said alleys,
<br />not further than the center line of said streets as shown on the aforementioned
<br />maps.
<br />(c) By constructing a 6 inch concrete valley gutter 1-1/2 feet wide across
<br />the ends of certain of the aforementioned alleys and in line with the existing
<br />curbs on the streets fronting on said alleys, in the following locations:
<br />(1) At both ends of that alley in Block 11;
<br />(2) At the northeasterly end of that alley in Block 12;
<br />(3) At the northeasterly end of that alley in Block 14;
<br />c4i At the northeasterly end of that alley between Lot 18 and Block D.
<br />(D) The improvement of that alley in Block 14 hereinbefore described, by
<br />constructing therein 4 inch vitrified clay sanitary sewer to serve Lots 3, 19,
<br />and•20, in said Block 14, and the improvement of that alley between Block 18
<br />and Block D hereinbefore described, by installing therein a 4 inch vitrified
<br />clay sanitary sewer lateral to serve Lot 7, said sewer laterals to be connec-
<br />ted with the existing 6 inch vitrified clay sanitary sewer now located therein.
<br />(e) The construction and installation of all necessary appurtenances to
<br />the work to be done under items (a) through (d) inclusive.
<br />All of said work and improvements are to constructed at the places, in the
<br />manner, of the sizes, of the materials, and to the lines, grades and elevations as
<br />shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor, and on file in the
<br />office of the City Engineer of the City of Redwood City, and the same are made a
<br />part hereof by reference thereto.
<br />Whenever any public way is referred to as running between two public ways, or
<br />from or to any public way, the intersections of the public ways referred to are
<br />included to the extent that work shall be done therein pursuant to the plans and
<br />specifications hereinbefore referred'to.
<br />Said Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said
<br />work the grades as shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made therefor
<br />and hereinbefore referred to.
<br />The total estimated cost of said improvements as determined by the City Engin-
<br />eer of Redwood City, California, is the sum of $12,789.24.
<br />Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said City Council,
<br />is of more than local or ordinary public benefit and said Council does hereby make
<br />the cost and expenses of doing such work and improvements chargeable upon a district,
<br />which district said Council declares to be the district benefited by said work and
<br />improvements and to be assessed to pay the entire cost and expense thereof and
<br />which said district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood City, State
<br />of California, and is described as follows:
<br />Said area being a portion of EAGLE HILL ADDITION, San Mateo County,
<br />California, recorded June 24, 1908 in Map Book 6, at page 22, Records of
<br />San Mateo County; and a portion of VERA AVENUE VILLAS, San Mateo County,
<br />California, recorded April 11, 1922 in Volume 11, of Maps at pages 3 and
<br />records of San Mateo County being more particularly described as follows:

<br />All of Lots fronting on alleys in Blocks 11, 12, 14, and 20 of said
<br />Eagle Hill Addition; and all Lots fronting on that alley between Block 18
<br />of said Eagle Hill Addition; and all Lots fronting on that alley between
<br />Block 18 of said Eagle Hill Addition and Block D of said Vera -Avenue Villas.
<br />1 There is excepted from said district, all streets and other public property
<br />used in the performance of a public function.
<br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and said Council of said City does determine, that
<br />serial bonds to represent the unpaid assessments of x$25.00 or over, bearing interest
<br />at the rate of six per cent (61-o) per annum will be issued pursuant to Article I
<br />of Ordinance No. 333 of said City, entitled "Redwood City Improvement Procedure
<br />Ordinance", adopted March 14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of which bonds
<br />shall mature ten (10) years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 15th
<br />day of the next November following their,date.
<br />Reference is hereby made to the Resolution of said Council determining to
<br />make said improvements without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investi-
<br />gation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Resolution No. 747
<br />on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City.
