<br />ON MOTION OF COUNCILMAN MORGAN, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST, CLAIMS NOS 1052 TO 1146 inclusive totaling
<br />$20,464.31 were ordered paid. Motion carried.
<br />MR. STOLLARY REPRESENTING DAYBROOK HOIST AND BODY COMPANY, REQUESTED OPPORTUNITY TO DISCUSS AWARD OF BID TO
<br />WELTNER MOTOR COMPANY FOR 12 TON TRUCK. The price of the Daybrook hoist is approximately $70 less than
<br />the Garwood hoist. Council stated they had no objections to City Engineer considering further the
<br />matter of choice of body and hoist. Councilman Granger so moved, seconded by Councilman Holmquist,
<br />and carried.
<br />ON MOTION OF COUNCILMAN MORGAN, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST,, MEETING ADJOURNED TO MONDAY,AUGUST 8th,
<br />at 10:00 AM when Council would sit as Board of Equalization to equalize assessments. Mobion carried.

<br />FOLLOWING WERE PRESENT ON ROLL CALL: Councilmen Floyd D. branger, H.E. Holmquist, A.V. Swift, W.M.Werder
<br />and City Clerk R.°.Dodge. Also present we're City Attorney C.B.Currie, City Manager E.A.Rolison,
<br />City Assessor John J. Brophy, Police Chief C.L.Collins and Administrative Assistant R.D. Miller.
<br />MAYOR WERDER EXPLAINED THE COUNCIL WAS SITTING AS BOARD OF EQUALIZATION TO CONSIDER ANY CLAIMS OR PROTESTS
<br />of assessment as, fixed for the fiscal year 1949-50.

<br />ON MOTION OF COUNCILMAN SWIFT, SECONDED BY COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST, AFFIDAVIT OF PUBLICATION OF "NOTICE TO
<br />TAXPAYERS" was ordered filed. Motion carried.
<br />MR. ANGELO LENCIONI, 527 WINSLOW STREET, appeared claiming several small out—buildings had been demolished
<br />since the last assessment. Assessor Brophy produced record indicating that assessment had been revised
<br />to show these buildings had been deleted from the records. On motion of Councilman Holmquist, seconded
<br />by Councilman Swift, and carried, Assessor's records were allowed to stand.
<br />COMMUNICATION FR?M LAND DEVELOPMENT COMPANY was read by Clerk protesting the assessment on Redwood Industrial
<br />Tract. Assessor Brophy explained the property was in line with other properties in the area. He stated

<br />further that property in question would be eligible for either an iincrease or decrease after construc—
<br />tion of Bayshore Highway was completed depending on access oads or service roads which might have a
<br />bearing on valuation of the area. On motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Holmquist, Land
<br />Development Company request was denied on the basis of the Assessor's report.
<br />THERE BEING NO FURTHER PROTESTS, meeting adjourned on motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman
<br />Granger and carried.
