C.Smith for street improvements, payment to be made with fund advanced by third party. Council - <br />man Swift moped approval of payment subject to availability of funds, seconded by Councilman Morgan <br />and carried. <br />FINAL PN)R,I;NT HARBOR BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENT. 'City Engineer Jain recommended that as 35 days required by spec- <br />ification for final payment to L.C. Smith expired on September 6th that the final ten percent, $4,838.87, <br />be authorized for payment. C. Smith Company agreed to correct any items, which might develop during <br />the guarantee period and which were their responsibility. He also stated in recommendation for payment <br />that the contractor had given 100 per cent cooperation throughout and made every effort to give the City <br />a satisfactory job. City Attorney thought the estimate should be approved but City funds not used as <br />this was a bond job. Councilman Spillers moved approval for payment subject to availability of funds, <br />seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />FINAL PAYIv0T SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. Citla4gineer Jain recommended that as the 35 days required by speci- <br />fication for final payment to Fred J.Early, Jr. Company expired on September 6th that the final ten <br />percent, X44,986.30 be authorized for payment, less $1000 for final clean up 043,986.30- Fred J. <br />Early Jr.Company had agreed to correct any items, which might develop during the guarantee period and <br />which were their responsibility. He further advised in his recommendation that the contractor had given <br />100 per cent cooperation throughout and had, made every effort possible to give the City a satisfactory <br />job. Councilman Britschgi moved approval of payment subject to availability of funds, seconded by Coun- <br />N <br />cilman Morgan and carried. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF FINAL SUBDIVISION JaP ON SfSCO,TRACT. This tract was on Taft between Vera and Roosevelt and <br />had been approved by the Planning Commission. Communication from Leonard Realty Company advised that <br />they would pay all expenses in connection with the filing of said map and file any bond that might be <br />required. Councilman Spillers moved approval subject to conditions of City Engineer and other condi- <br />tions relative to filing a map; seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />FINATPAYMENT, C0154UNITY PARK BASEBALL DIAMOND SPRINKLER SYSTEM, to Redwood Plumbing Company, Inc. City En- <br />gineer Jain recommended that 90 per cent of the total contract price, in amount $2147.40 be paid. The <br />remaining 10 per cent $238.60 would be due and payable at the expiration of the 35 days normally re <br />I <br />quired by the City for final payment; provided that all items had been taken care of at that time. <br />Councilman Spillers moved approval of payment, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />ACCE�'TANCE OF EASEMENT AND DEEDyS, STANLEY-WESTGATEIMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, was recommended by City Engineer `Jain. <br />One was an easement and right of way for public utility purposes offered by Arthur Payne and Dora Payne. <br />
