�. <br />Said Council does hereby adopt and establish as the official grades for said work the grades, as 339 <br />shown on the plans, profiles and specifications made thereofr and hereinbefore referred to. <br />i <br />The total estimated cost of said improvements as determined by the City Engineer of Redwood <br />City, California, is the sum of $1603088.00. <br />Said contemplated work and improvements, in the opinion of said City Council, is of.more than <br />local or ordinary public benefit and said Council does hereby make the cost and expenses of doing <br />such work and improvements chargeable upon a district, which district said Couocil declares to be <br />the district benefited'by said work and improvements and to be assessed to pay the entire c <br />st and <br />expense thereof and which said district is wholly within the limits of said City of Redwood�i.ty,State <br />of California, and is described as follows: <br />4 <br />Said district includes all of "LENOLT", a subdivision in Redwood City, San Mateo County, Cali- <br />fornia, recorded May 7, 1925 in Vol. 12 of Maps, at pages 30 & 31, San 'Mateo County Records, the bear- <br />ings of which are the basis of this description. Said district also includes portions of Block 13 - <br />Range D, Block 11 - Range C, Block 14 - Range B and Villa Lot 21, Block 14 - Range B and Villa Lot <br />San Mateo CountRecords <br />21 of "TOWN OF MEZESVILLE," recorded August 1, 4.56, in Book 1 at page 79, y , <br />and is more particularly described as follows: <br />. <br />I <br />Beginning at the intersection..of the intersection of the "Northerly Line of Rancho De Las <br />Pulgas" with the Northwesterly line of Whipple Avenue, 80.00 feet in width., formerly known as Rogers <br />Street and as Fourteenth Street; thence S 58013' 30" E, 20.68 feet to the <br />point of beginning. <br />I <br />There is excepted from said district, all streets and otherpublic property used in the performance of <br />ia <br />public function. <br />t <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, and,said Council of said City, does determine, that serial bonds to <br />'• <br />represent the unpaid assessments of $25.00 or over, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent (6%) <br />per annum will be issued pursuant to Article I of Ordinance No. 333 of said pity, entitled "Redwood <br />ity Improvement Procedure Ordinance", adopted March 14, 1932, as amended, the last installment of <br />which bonds shall mature fourteen (147 years from the 2nd day of January next succeeding the 15th <br />i1 <br />day of the next November following their date. <br />Reference is hereby made to the Resolution of said Council determining to make said improve- <br />ments without compliance with the Special Assessment, Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest <br />Act of 1931, being Resolution No. 782 on file in the office of the City Clerk -of, saieity. <br />All work provided for herein shall be done as provided in Article I of said Ordinance No. 3332 <br />as amended. <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that Monday, the 21st d`ay of November, 1949, at the hour,of 8:00 <br />P.M. of said day, at the Council Chamber of said Council of said City, in the City Hall on Middlefield <br />Road in said City, has been and is hereby fixed as the day, hour and place when and where any and all <br />persons having any objections.to the proposed work and improvements described herein, or to the grade <br />to which said work and improvements are to be done and made, or to the district proposed to be assessed <br />i, <br />for said work and improvements, may appear before said Council of said City and show cause why said <br />proposed work and improvementsshould not be carried out and done in accordance with this resolution <br />I, <br />of intention, or why said work and improvements should not be carried out and done at thq grades as <br />shown on the plans, profiles, and detailed drawings referred to herein, and for hearing any protests <br />in relation to said proposed improvement. <br />The Redwood City Tribune, a daily (except Sunday) newspaper, published, printed and circulated <br />in said City of Redwood City) is hereby designated by the Council of said City as the'.newspaper in <br />which to publish this Resolution of Intention as required by law, and the Clerk of said.City.of Red- <br />wood City is hereby ordered and directed to cause this Resolution of Intention to be published in said <br />newspaper twice, as required by law. <br />The Street Superintendent of said City of Redwood City shall cause notices of the passage of <br />as required by law. <br />this Resolution of Intention to be posted in the time, form, manner and number <br />The Clerk of said City shall mail notices of the adoption of this Resolution of Intention to <br />all persons owning real property proposed to be assessed whose names and addresses appear on.the last <br />equalized assessment.rollfor said City taxes, prior thereto, in time, form and manner as required <br />by law. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at an adjourned meeting thereof, <br />held on the 31st day of October, 1949, by the following vote: <br />j AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, Councilmen: <br />i BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, "ORGAN, SPIDERS, SeVIFT and WERDER. <br />t' NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />i <br />ABSENT, Councilmen: HOLMQUIST <br />i <br />f, <br />W.
