342 <br />I£ the time expired before they would move the building it would be dismantled. Councilman Holmquist <br />moved that revocable permit be granted for 45 days. Councilman Morgan wished to amend the motion that build- <br />ing be dismantled after expiration of temporary permit and that Mr. Dyal put up $500 bond. Amendment <br />accepted by the maker, seconded by Councilman rlritschgi and carried. Mr. Dyal was to get in touch with <br />City Attorney in regard%o bond. <br />EDO LUMBER COMPANY, SAN CARLOS, SUBMITTED OFFER, SIGNED BY E M DYAL, of ;$311 FOR PORTION OF LOT DIRECTLY EAST OP <br />C <br />LOT 12, BLOCK 10, RANGE E, MEZESVILLE between Hopkins and Samson Streets approximate size 18 x 35 x 100 ft, <br />tax deed lot. This was referred to the Real Estate Committee for report back at next meeting on motion <br />of Councilman Britschgi, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. A copy of Mr. Dyal's letter was to be <br />mailed to committee. <br />KENSINGTON SQUARE, RIGHT OF WAY ACQIJISITION: bity Engineer submitted report supplementing report of October 31st <br />making certain recommendations as to maximum amounts to be paid for necessary parcels for the widening of <br />Alameda de las Pulgas and Jefferson Avenue. It was recommended -,that x$270 based on estimated valve of <br />property be paid for Parcel 'No. 68, Loot 1, Block 6, Kensington Square to Flory. Councilman Britschgi <br />moved approval of recommendation, seconded by Councilman Holmquist and carreid. <br />PARK & RECREATION COhRtffSSION REP0:3TED THAT IF PROPERTY OF SAP! FRANCISCO+S WATER DEPART11:E1NT ON REDWQOD AVENUE <br />IS TO BE USED AS PLAYGROUND it should be set up and administered as other city recreational areas. Council- <br />man Morgan moved this be accepted for playground area providing it would be under the control of Recreation <br />Commission, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ADOPTED MOTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF BEN A LEESE TO CHANGE SETBACK LINE AT <br />160 CLINTON TO 10 FEET FF014 20 FEET ON JANUARY 263 1948. There is in effect a 10 foot setback on the corner � <br />of Broadwgy and Clinton and Brewster and Clintoh. There was no record of the Council approving this appli- <br />cation and the Planning Commission asked that this be considered at this time. Councilman Britschgi r <br />moved recommendation of Planning Commission be approved to conform to other setbacks in the area, seconded �. <br />by'Councilman Morgan and carried. j <br />DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DIVISION OF LABOR LAW ENFORCED` -NT, 965 NIISSION STREET, <br />I� <br />SAN FRANCISCO 3, requested use of space in City Hall for the purpose of holding hearings to be held every <br />Wddnesdgy morning from 10 AM to 12 noon. Hearings•had been held in the County Court House. A new Superior <br />Court had been established in San Mateo County and the space was no longer available. This was agreeable <br />to Council providing it did not interfere with City program. Councilman Morgan moved that thus be referred <br />to City Manager for report at next meeting whether he deemed this advisable or not, seconded by Councilman <br />Britschgi and carried. <br />SAFETY COMMITTEE OF THE CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE OF THE SAN FRANCISCO PENINSULA, SUBMITTED A LETTER SIGNED BY THOS <br />F. McGUIGAN, CHAIRMAN, stating that the committee had appeared before the State Chamber of Commerce and <br />asked for a study of railroad corssing accidents to the end that new legislation be created to place speci- 'I d <br />fie responsibility for grade crossing separations and specify financial responsibility. The State Chamber <br />F: <br />endorsed this recommendation. They requested a copy of Resolution that the Council might pass so that <br />resolutions from all the cities might be presented to proper legislative authorities at the proper time. h <br />Councilman Spillers moved that this be referred to the Chamber of Commerce for a report back at the next <br />meeting and for their recommendation of this study, seconded by Councilman Holmquist and carried. <br />PLANNING CONWISSION DISAPPROVED D N CAMPBELL TO RESUBDIVIDE LOT �, BLOCK 17, CENTRAL PPRK #1 because of in- <br />sufficient area.
