Coun— <br />cilman Morgan moved approval of recommendation, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />PLANNING COILaSSION RECOMMENDED APPROVA.jEbF A C WEITZ RESUBDIVIDE LOT 5, FRIENDLY ACRES '#1, approval of only <br />corner lots on Bay Road and 10th as shown in red on map. Rest of resubdivision held in order to study <br />the possibility of holding the last lot for street purposes. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION RECOTEKMENDED APPROVAL E C PALMER TO RESUBDIVIDE A PORTION OF LOT 17, OAKWOOD PARK (410 <br />OALIrOOD BLVD) INTO TWO PARCELS. This was approved June 13th„ 1949, but as there was no Council action, <br />Planning Commission requested it be considered at this time. Councilman Britschgi moved approval of <br />recommendation, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE STATED THAT CONCERNING THE FORK BY HUNTING & ADAMSON WHICH HAD BEEN AUTHORIZED, THD <br />CITY MANAGERHAD NOT BEEN AUTHORIZED TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT FOR $2600. Councilman Holmquist moved <br />approval of authorization, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br />OOUNCILMEN GRANGER AND MORGAN BOTH INFORMED THE COUNCIL THAT COIRfUTERS HAD RAISE]/THE QUESTION OF WHAT HAPPENED <br />TO THE POLICEMEN TO DIRECT TRAFFIC AT THE DEPOT BET71EEN 5 and 6 PM. It was thought that two officers <br />were needed. <br />SOUTHERN PACIFIC COMPANY WAS TO BE NOTIFIED TO CIE AN UP PROPERTY RUNNING PARALLEL WITH RAILROAD between Broad— <br />way and Brewster on motion of Councilmarbwift, seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />COUNCILMAN SPILLERt-HOUGHT TREE SHOULD BE REMOVED ACROSS STREET FROM 1233 HARRISON as limbs were falling and <br />children played under the tree. City 'Lttorney stated the tree could be condemned if damage was done to <br />City property but the City had no control of this situation. <br />COUNCILMAN HOLMQUIST OBJECTED TO SEBIC TAIIK1N COUNTY BEING PUMPED OUT INTO CITY SEWAGE LINE AND THOUGHT THE <br />LINE WOULD BECBLCCKED IN TIIJE. Also pres— <br />ent were Building Inspector L M Dunca3 Assistant Building Inspector Stephen Kreiss, City Collector <br />P E Perrin, Police Chief Stanley Wood, City Engineer Glenn M Jainy Assistant Engineer M Carozza, City <br />Attorney C B Currie, Auditor—Assessor J J Brophy, City Manager E A Rolison, Administrative Assistant <br />Richard D Miller, and Fire Chief J L Lodi. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES AS MAILED. Minutes of the regular meeting of November 7th were approved as mailed pro— <br />viding correction be made on Page 6, Item Is to eliminate wording "second from Councilman Granger"" <br />on motion of Councilman Swift, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />EPING MACHINE FORMERLY USED BY AUDITOR'S OFFICE.WAS NO LONG9kEEDED. Several requests had come in <br />relative to its disposition. City Manager requested authority to advertise for bids from parties <br />desiring to purchase this equipment.
