Mayor Werder informed <br />Miss Offermann that word had been received from Mr. Reynard that work would be <br />started in'a few days. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON PEDDLERS ORDINANCE. Mr. C. L. Watts, District Manager of J. R. Watkins <br />Company, letter from Redwood City Tribune, Howard Smithson, 1971 Cordilleras Road, <br />Irvin Kreist, 3428 Bay Road, representing bakery business, Charles L. Woods., <br />4320 Fair Oaks Avenue, protested various points of the ordinance and thought care- <br />ful consideration should be given before adoption. Comdr. P. C,. Kirk, Veterans of <br />Foreign Wars was in favor of the ordinance. After hearing those who appeared Coun- <br />il-� 1 <br />oilman Spillers moved that hearing be duly and regularly continued until December <br />5th, seconded by Councilman.Morgan and carred. <br />MAYOR V,1ERDER WELCOMED MR. FISHER AND HIS CIVIC CLASS FROM MCKINLEY SCHOOL. By next <br />February they would organize their own Junior Civic Government, elect their own <br />Mayor, etc. in conjunction with their classes. <br />PUBLIC HEARING "H" DISTRICT ORDINANCE, AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE 600. Affidavit of <br />publication was ordered filed by the Mayor. Ordinance provided that "H" Districts <br />could be created in districts where there was considerable traffic. I <br />Councilman Morgan left the meeting. <br />ORDINANCE 600.5 ON "H" DISTRICT, AMENDING ORDINANCE 600. Councilman Holmquist moved <br />adoption of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call <br />Councilman Morgan noted absent. <br />�I PUBLIC HEARING, CHANGE NAME OF LIGUORI STREET TO MARSHALL STREET. Affidavit of publi- <br />cation ordered filed by the Mayor. <br />ORDINANCE 629 PUBLIC HEARING, CHANGE NAME OF LIGUORI STREET TO MARSHALL STREET. As there <br />were no protests, Councilman Granger moved adoption of ordinance, seconded by Coun- <br />cilman Holmquist and carried on roll call. Councilman Morgan .noted absent. <br />AMENDMENT TO AMUSEI=T LICENSE ORDINANCE. Affidavit of publication ordered filed by <br />the Mayor. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON AMENDMENT TO AMUSEMENT LICENSE ORDINANCE 630. As there were no protests <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Spillers and <br />carried on roll call. Councilman Morgan noted absent. <br />SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE. Affidavit of publication ordered filed by the Mayor. <br />PUBLIC BEARING ON SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE 631. As there were no protests Councilman <br />Spillers moved adoption of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried <br />n roll call. Councilman Morgan noted <br />o absent. g . <br />REPORT ON FIRE HYDRANTS, FRIENDLY ACRES. City Manager Rolison stated eight hydrants were <br />w <br />delivered; I;Ir. Henry had been contacted and promised to make installations. He did <br />not have money for the twelve additional hydrants. If the City installed the <br />luhydrants we would pay $2.50 rental and if the Friendly Acres Water Company installed <br />them the City would pay 103.50- Councilman Holmquist, Chairman of the Committee, <br />n <br />urged that the hydrants be installed as soon as possible. Councilman Granger moved <br />that the City Manager be given authority to have the,hydrants installed, seconded by <br />Councilman Spillers. Mayor Werder thought it would be better to wait another week <br />for a report as to where the money would come from. The vote tied on roll call, <br />
