Councilman Britschgi asked for a report on this and <br />stated one resident had not been able to get into his garage for four months. He <br />thought something should be done about the delay on this project. City Engineer Jain <br />stated the contractor, L. C.,Smith, was notified every week and that they were being <br />penalized $50.00 per day, also that Virginia Avenue and Eagle Hill Alleys were all <br />overdue. After discussion Councilman Granger moved that the bonding company be notified, <br />seconded by Councilman Morgan and carried. <br />BROADWAY No. 3 IMPROVEMENTS. Councilman Holmquist asked about progress. City Engineer Jain <br />stated all plans had been checked for certain corrections and that the legal work <br />should be done by April 1st. <br />APPRAISAL OF TAX DELINQUENT LOTS. Councilman Holmquist thought the Real Estate Committee <br />should appraise these lots on Topaz and tell the County Tax Collector what we would <br />like for them. The City had twenty-two 25' lots. Interested parties were in the <br />market for the lots. Councilman Holmquist moved that City Attorney 6urrie start work <br />on advertising of bids, no less than two lots each to be sold, seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers, and carried. <br />SWIMMING POOL. Councilman Spillers reported that the San Jose architect would have the plans <br />and specifications ready in three weeks. <br />CITIZENS COP+IMITTEE ON CREIK PROPOSITION to come before people. Councilman Holmquist <br />thought the Mayor might appoint such a committee. City Attorney Currie was not sure <br />the Council should promote a bond issue on their own action, that it was up to the <br />people to pick it up and work on it themselves. <br />CLAIMS Nos. 2358 to 2460 inclusive in the amount of $26,280.21 were approved for payment on <br />motion of Councilman Morgan, seconded by Councilman Britschgi, and carried. <br />ADJOURNMENT to 4.:30 P.
