PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL TO ALLOW PROFESSIONAL OFFICES IN R DISTRICTS within 100 feet of any C or M District, subject to obtaining a use permit in each case from the Planning Commission, Councilman Britschgi moved this be placed on.the agenda for further study, seconded by Councilman Swift. Whether or not doctors and destists could work from homes in R-1 Districts and the question of real estate signs in front of homes would be discussed. Motion carried. It was the general opinion that a previous action of the Council requested that all communications should be in by Friday noon in order to be placed on the agenda, otherwise they were not to be considered, as there was not enough time for consideration of the facts. RESOLUTION No. 846. PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED APPROVAL OF APPLICATION OF METHODIST CHURCH for a variance in setbacks along Broadway and Brewster Avenue to allow expansion of the Church. Councilman Swift offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Morgan, and carried on roll call, Councilman Britschgi voting No, and Councilman Spillers noted absent. RESOLUTION No. 846 GRANTING VARIANCE TO METHODIST CHURCH RESOLVED by the Council of Redwood City as follows: 1. That the application for variance in accordance with Section 20 of Ordinance 600 of Redwood City be and the same is hereby granted, and said Methodist Church is granted permission to build up to the property line on Broadway and Brewster Avenue. Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular meeting thereof, held on the 20th day of March, 1950, by the following vote: AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing Resolution, Councilmen: GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, SWIFT, and MAYOR WERDER.
