480 •' % <br />RESOLUTION No.)860. <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY GIVING NOTICE OF <br />PROPOSED ANNEXATION OF THE HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED TERRITORY DESIGNATED AS <br />"KORAL PROPERTY" TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY. <br />WHEREAS, under the provisions of that certain Act of the Legislature of the <br />State of California, entitled "Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Acto of 193911J, <br />proceedings for the annexation to the City of Redwood City of the territory here- <br />inafter particularly described have been initiated by the filing of a petition <br />for annexation to the City of Redwood City of the territory hereinafter described <br />by RICHARD L. KORAL, SARA KORAL, his wife, LOUIS SINDALL and FANNIE SINDALL, his <br />wife, the owners of the property in said territory proposed to be annexed; and <br />WHEREAS the exterior boundaries of said territory described in said petition <br />and which territory is contiguous to the limits of the City of Redwood City, <br />County of San Mateo, State of California, are described as follows, to wit: <br />and <br />Lot 4 in Block 18, as designated on the map entitled "OAK KNOLL <br />MANOR, REDWOOD CITY, SAN MATEO COUNTY, CALIFORNIA", which map was <br />filed in the office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, <br />State of California on May 10, 1916 in Book 10 of Maps at pages <br />4 to 11 inclusive. <br />EXCEPTING THERFROM the following described parcel; <br />BEGINNING at a point on the westerly line of Canyon Road, <br />where it is intersected by the line dividing Lots 4 and 5 in <br />Block 18; running thence southerly, along said westerly line <br />of Canyon Road, 95.00 feet; thence South 660 17' 2W' West 181.94 <br />feet; thence North 80 291 West 50 feet to the northwesterly <br />line of Lot 4; thence North 560 45' 30" East, along said North- <br />westerly line, 216.00 feet to the point of beginning. <br />WHEREAS the aforesaid petition for annexation of the territory here- <br />inbefore described to the City of Redwood City, a municipal corpora- <br />tion, has been filed with and received by the Council of the City of <br />Redwood City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Redwood City resolves as <br />follows: . <br />1. That the Council of the City of Redwood City does by this resolution <br />give notice of such proposed annexation, does hereby designate said territory as <br />the "Korai Property", and does further fix Monday, the 15th day of May, 1950, <br />at the hour of 8:00 P. 11. at the Council Chamber in the City Hall, Middlefield <br />Road, Redwood City, California, as the day, hour and place when and where any per- <br />son owning real property within such territory so proposed to be annexed and <br />having any objection to the proposed annexation, may appear before the City Coun- <br />cil to show cause why such territory should not be so annexed. <br />2. That the City Clerk of the City of Redwood City be, and he is, hereby <br />directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be published at least once a <br />week for two successive weeks prior to the day fixed for hearing, in the Redwood <br />City Tribune, a newspaper printed, published and circulated in the City of <br />Redwood City, the municipal corporation to which it is proposed to annex the <br />the hereinbefore described territory. <br />3. That at any time not later than the hour set for hearing objections to <br />the proposed annexation, any owner of property within the territory proposed to <br />be annexed may file written protest against the proposed annexation; that such <br />protests shall state the name or names of the owner or owners of the property <br />affected thereby, and the description and area of such property in general <br />terms. <br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular <br />meeting thereof, held on the 17th day of April, 1950, by the following vote: <br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution, <br />Councilmen: GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, ROYER, SPILLERS, WERDER, and Mayor <br />BRITSCHGI. <br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE <br />ABSENT, <br />ATTEST: <br />Councilmen: NONE <br />RALPH S.
