<br />RESOLUTION C011'MEMORATING MEMORY OF
<br />NELLE L. MIRAMONTES
<br />WHEREAS, on April 9, 1950, NELLE L. MIRAMONTES passed from this life to her
<br />eternal reward and it is fitting that the City Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City appropriately record her long, faithful and distinguished public service
<br />in this community;
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Redwood
<br />City that we here record the esteem and affection in which the said NELLE L.
<br />MIRAMONTES is, and for more than thirty-five (35) years, has been held by
<br />members of this Council, the officers and members of this City government; that
<br />we hereby commemorate Mrs. Miramontes' outstanding services to this City as
<br />Deputy City Collector and Assessor from July 151 1915 to July 1, 1929, and as
<br />City Collector from July 1, 1929 to December 31, 191.6, and for playing an impor-
<br />tant part in the growth and development of this City.
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we attest the sterling character of our friend,
<br />her courage, devotion to public service, often at great personal acrifice, her
<br />integrity and reliability, and her wholehearted support of all things which
<br />would make her city a better one in which to lice.
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread on the minutes of
<br />this Council, that we adjourn this meeting in memory of NELLE L. MIRAI,IONTES,
<br />and that a copy of this resolution, certified by our Clerk, be sent to her son,
<br />FRANK C. MIRAMONTES, to whom we extend our sympathies in this bereavement.
<br />Passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Redwood City at a regular
<br />meeting thereof, held on the 17th day of April, 1950, by the following vote:
<br />AYES, and in favor of the passage and adoption of the foregoing resolution,
<br />Councilmen: BRITSCHGI, GRANGER, HOLMQUIST, MORGAN, ROYER, SPILLERS, WERDER.
<br />NOES, Councilmen: NONE

<br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES. As there were no objections to minutes of regular meeting of
<br />April 17th, Mayor Britschgi ordered the minutes approved as mailed.
<br />RESIGNATION FROM THE PLANNING COI.21ISSION WAS SUBMITTED BY V81 H. ROYER, now a member of
<br />the City Council. His letter expressed his appreciation for association with this
