Councilman Royer reported that Councilman <br />Spillers and he had found two pieces of property in the heart of Friendly Acres that <br />was available and offered to meet with Mr. Me Conald of Friendly Acres who was present. <br />FRIENDLY ACRES IMPROVEMENTS. City Engineer Jain reported that plans were nearly finished <br />and that it would be necessary to acquire property at the end of Fifth Avenue for <br />storm drain system and suggested that City Manager Rolison negotiate for pumping plant. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the matter be turned over to the Real Estate Committee, <br />City Manager Rolison to take up with City Attorney Currie and then the committee, <br />seconded by Councilman Holmquist- and carried. <br />PROPOSED SALE OF BY-PRODUCT, SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT. Mayor Britschgi inquired about the <br />report on this. City Manager Rolison had sent out 15 questionaires to other cities <br />but had received nothing satisfactory to offer as yet, however he was following <br />through on it. <br />CLAIMS Nos. 284 to 2943 inclusive in the amount of $11,372.58 were approved for payment <br />on motion of Councilman Werder, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />ADJOURNMENT at 10:15 P. In the <br />i agreement with Mr. L. F. Richards, Architect, in the event the lowest responsible <br />I i <br />` bidder exceeded the estimated cost limitations, the Architect agreed to redesign <br />I�the pools to meet such limitation. Councilman Holmquist moved that, in view of the <br />situation, the matter be held over for futher study and that the committee review <br />I' the bids and report back to the Council. FAUL,STICH ADDRESSED THE.COUNCIL regarding the proposed parking meter area on the south <br />�I side of Winklebleck Street from California Street to the Southern Pacific Depot. <br />�`I The matter was studied by the Traffic Fact Finding Committee and it was thought that <br />
