498 <br />PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION REQUEST FOR REPRESENTATIVE AT GRADE SEPARATION CONFERENCE <br />IN SAN FRANCISCO, May 22nd, at 2:00 P. id. Someone from the Engineering Department <br />would attend this meeting. <br />LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA CITIES SUBMITTED A LETTER URGING ATTENTION TO PROPOSED INITIATIVE <br />MEASURE EXEMPTING ALL PERSONAL PROPERTY FROM TAXATION. A group in Los Angeles <br />County was soliciting support for such an amendment. The League enclosed a Senate <br />Resolution by Senator Ben Hulse setting forth the effect of this proposal, and <br />recommended that people in'the community be informed through various groups and <br />local newspapers to consider effect of proposal. Councilman Werder thought the <br />request should be followed through and a committee appointed. Mayor Britschgi <br />appointed Councilman Royer who was to confer with the City Manager and call together <br />the other bodies or groups as requested. <br />RESOLUTION No. 873. REQUEST FOR TRANSFERS FROM UNBUDGETED R ESERVE FOR THE FOLLOWING <br />ACCOUNTS: $51600 Police Motor Vehicle, 01750 Street Maintenance Motor Vehicle, <br />$220 Yacht Harbor Salaries, $400 Yacht Harbor Supplies & Services. The Police Motor <br />Vehicle Account was overdrawn by approximately '$300; the Street Maintenance Motor <br />Vehicle was overdrawn by about $5350; the Yacht Harbor Salary Account would be over- <br />drawn by about $140 as result of labor costs incurred in repairing of floats. Mr. <br />Morton requested additional $580 to complete the necessary work. $5400 worth of <br />lumber would be needed in order to place the floats in safe operating condition. <br />Councilman Spillers offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman <br />Royer and carried on roll call. <br />RES0LUTI ON No. 873. -'.
